Convenient place to stop on your way to the de young or cal academy in the park. Egg sandwich is fine. The semi melted slice of American cheese took me back to my childhood. The baristas were very nice and offered me a treat for my pup!

Rise & Grind is my go to spot when I am visiting Golden Gate Park or Ocean Beach. The breakfast sandwiches are very good but I recommend trying the Vietnamese Egg Custard Coffee.....This coffee mix is astonishingly good. The customer service staff have always been very cool and pleasant.

This place has very friendly service! I ordered the iced sesame Matcha latte! It was really nice because they were able to remove the condensed milk if you want to, which is a nice option! Also… There are some limited seats, but not that much… But some nice seating outside if it is a sunny day! I enjoyed my experience there and I thought the Matcha latte was very yummy 🙂

I recently tried their horchata latte and a blueberry danish, and both were absolutely delightful. The horchata latte was a perfect blend of creamy and spicy, with just the right amount of sweetness--definitely a unique and refreshing twist on a classic coffee drink. The blueberry danish was fresh and flaky, with a generous filling of sweet, tangy blueberries that paired perfectly with the latte.

The abundance of plants adds a refreshing and vibrant touch to the decor, making Rise and Grind not just a coffee shop, but a green oasis in the city. The seating is all outside, providing a wonderful alfresco experience that lets you enjoy your coffee in the fresh air. The cozy outdoor seating areas, bathed in natural light, provide the perfect setting for working, studying, or simply unwinding with a great cup of coffee.

What sets Rise and Grind apart is its dog-friendly policy. It's heartwarming to see patrons enjoying their coffee while their furry friends relax by their side. The welcoming atmosphere extends to four-legged visitors, making it a perfect spot for dog owners who don't want to leave their pets behind. Plus, being right next to Golden Gate Park, it's the ideal stop before or after a leisurely stroll.

A special shoutout to Kevin, the barista who made my visit extra special. His friendly demeanor and expert coffee-making skills ensured that my horchata latte was perfectly crafted. His warm and attentive service truly enhanced my experience.

In summary, Rise and Grind is a must-visit for anyone seeking exceptional coffee and pastries in a beautiful, plant-filled, and dog-friendly environment. It's a place where you can truly relax and savor every sip, with your furry friend by your side. Five stars all the way!

This coffee place used to be a favourite of mine to get a tasty specialty coffee (the creme brulé , and cookie butter lattes being a personal favourite in the past) and wander through GG park, however it is slowly becoming more and more of a mess in the shop (cardboard boxes piled up, Costco dog food boxes stacked next to coffee, staff shuffling around the piles of stuff struggling to get around too - just a general mess). I most recently took family to this shop while in GG park, we ordered hot chocolate and whopper lattes, I don't know if they were out of chocolate that day but the hot chocolate tasted of sugary milk, and the latte only tasted of malted milk - couldn't even taste the coffee and definitely no chocolate flavour as promised in the drink description. Has really great potential with a nice location and good coffee blends but could do with a tidy and some more work on chocolate containing products.

A very nice coffee shop on the outskirts of Golden Gate Park. Very interesting coffee selections at very reasonable prices, with a menu of delicious food to accompany. The Matcha waffle was highly recommended and with good reason. The coffee was reasonably priced, the staff was very attentive and quick, and the entire store was bustling with the warmth a coffee shop should have. The free wifi was also a very big bonus as well.

Tl;Dr: While not a location I'd recommend for brunch, I'd definitely be happy to bring my family and friends here if I wanted to take them out for a coffee. The drinks are galaxies apart from anything a starbucks could make, and the food and service are just icing on a delicious waffle.

Nice ambience, decent coffee/food. Staff seem reasonably nice.

My breakfast sandwich order got lost in translation until I reminded the staff ~25 minutes later when I realized people after me were being served. They rushed it out soon after.

I get it, we all make mistakes, but typically if you waste that much of someone’s time, even a small concession goes much further than a flippant apology - especially when the customer tips you in advance for counter service.

Very friendly service. Coffee is good, but very strong. Inside the coffee shop there is a big mess though for some reason, I think it would look much tidier when clear. Still very nice though.
