We have taken 7 Rick Steves Tours during the last 14 years and have two more on the books. Their tour guides are always knowledgeable, super-competent, friendly. The itineraries are excellent and reflect careful planning and thought. The hotels are always located near the sights. The balance between tour time and free time is spot on. This is a tour company that does things right. We have never been disappointed. In fact, we have always been delighted! Highly recommended.

My husband and I took Rick Steves 14 day Best of Ireland tour in 2019. It was wonderful in every way! Our tour guides, driver and bus mates were so much fun to travel with.
We’re looking forward to the Best of Portugal tour in three weeks. We are so excited!

Consider using another vendor for maps. I ordered two maps that are not expected to be delivered until next week — 11 days after I ordered them. Even USPS snail mail would have had them delivered in much less time. And I paid for shipping at Steves, a cost I normally don’t incur when ordering from Amazon or other vendors. Disappointing.

A good selection of luggage. I bought a small, rolling under seat bag. I think it will be perfect.

Loved this shop! It has a comprehensive list and suggestions of places to go to in Europe. We went because we were such huge fans of Rick Steves. Too bad we weren't looking to travel to Europe at that time but it would have been fun just hanging out there and doing all your research there. There's free wifi in the shop as well! Oh, and the people who work there are just absolutely welcoming, helpful and super friendly.
