I have two sons at UW, the Residence Inn is now our go-to hotel. It's walking distance to campus and the restaurants on "The Ave." It's also a pretty short walk or Uber ride to U Village and the shops. For convenience, can't be beat. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with small kitchens that are useful. The staff is always really helpful and friendly. Good buffet breakfast and nice gym that we used a lot. Some of the rooms face the street and can be noisy, so check in advance. Highly recommend for travelers with kids at UW.

This hotel is right in the middle of everything that is happening in the University District! The rooms are large, clean and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable like a cloud and very warm on a cold night. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The area is full of amazing mom-and-pop restaurants offering an unimaginable array of ethnic cuisines from around the world. It is also really convenient to public transportation, the 1 subway line and there is also a Safeway grocery store within walking distance. I was very happy with my experience at this hotel.

I was pleased with our stay. The woman at check in strove to find us a quiet room-facing 12th Ave-and to be welcoming. Breakfast was good-nice to have real plates and cutlery. Appreciated secure parking, though price is rather inflated at $35. I would stay here again for the amenities, staff and convenient location.||There were ear plugs and white noise machine next to the bed with a note about construction noise. There was no construction noise on a Sunday night, but I would ask about this if planning a future stay.

We arrived late, near midnight, and the staff was welcoming. Our room was huge (accessible room) and very clean and warm (which inlike). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a mix of hot and cold options and a hearty supply of good coffee. The seating area for breakfast felt more upscale than other hotels of a similar star raring (nice chairs, more a lounge feel). This hotel is right next to the University of Washington, so it's a short walk (10-20 minutes) depending on what part of campus. Not close to downtown Seattle, which is a 15-20 minute drive.

I recommend the Residence Inn Seattle University District for anyone traveling to Seattle for medical care. Having heard the bad news about my husband’s health I was looking for a hotel close to the University of Washington Medical Center. Confused, distressed, and not knowing where to turn, I called the Residence Inn and Garret answered. Garret calmed my nerves by telling me that they will do everything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible, considering the circumstances. He and the rest of the friendly and helpful staff did just that. Every morning my family enjoyed a hot breakfast with good coffee. Every room is a suite with a full kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, utensils and everything we needed for cooking and cleaning.) Trader Joes and Safeway are a couple of blocks away along with a hundred eateries. Housekeepers clean the room every other day or more as needed. The facility is very clean and modern with underground car parking and three elevators. Most floors have a laundry room, essential for long stays. We stayed for eighteen days, and it felt like home away from home. I cannot say enough about the Residence Inn.

Fantastic service and staff! I stayed with my family for a few weeks and every employee I encountered was caring and generous. I highly recommend this hotel and will return. The breakfast has a broad variety, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the gym was great too!

Perfect location for being close to the Children's hospital and the light rail station. Felt very clean inside and the room was laid out well. Front desk was very helpful and nice when we checked in. I felt safe and was able to relax easily after a long day traveling. They even checked us in a few hours early which made our trip so much easier

This hotel was unexpectedly beautiful and is definitely one we will return to again. The rooms are so big and there's a full kitchen in them including a full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and couch. The only downside was the location is near a lot of construction right now and that was hard to navigate.
