Group of four booked for one night in a 2-bedroom unit. Love residence inn layout for having 2 bedrooms and separate bathrooms with a central kitchen/living room area. Rooms and equipment in them look refreshed, as the building looks dated. ||Breakfast - good selection of proteins (pictured) at the complimentary breakfast buffet, including waffle maker, breads and bagels and an oatmeal station with a wide selection of toppings.||Gym - definitely in need of work given this is a dated residence inn design, and it’s in a cramped room. Nice to see they have an indoor pool (I didn’t see how clean it was and generally never use indoor pools)||Location - very convenient and close to both the 210 and the 10. ||Overall - very good, functional and clean. Would stay here again if in the area.

Incredible amazing! Beautiful clean rooms, more than enough space here, the installations are super clean and well maintained that you're going to be amazed. Now, the attendants are the best part, they are so kind and they go the extra mile just for you and the treat you like kings and queens, if you don't believe me ask for Philip or Gina and they will give you their best ever! Philip, congratulations, you are the best of the best! I thank you forever for the wonderful time we have thanks to your amazing job. You make me feel awesome and my family as well. I hope to see you again soon.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! I used the 24 hr gym (small but clean & all you need - weights & treadmill + a pool but i didn’t use that), then had a daily breakfast at the open bar. The breakfast is pretty consistent with items to choose from and is very clean! I love that i could pick from a variation of fruit including avocados and lemons which aren’t normally offered.

Yes, the hotel looked nice which is why I booked it. But the good news ends there. ||I booked this hotel in July 2024 for my visit in Nov 2024, using the Marriott Bonvoy website. I arrived to check in on the appointed day and hour, only to learn the hotel had canceled my reservation. They said, "Sorry, but we canceled your reservation because we couldn't run your CC for incidentals. It's policy." I told them I was happy to run my CC now, but they said it was too late, they'd already given my room to someone else and the hotel was fully booked. I did online "check-in" just the day before, so they knew I was coming!? I am a Gold member, booked my room in advance, checked in on time, and was still bumped from my room. The front desk couldn't articulate the sequence of events or why I was canceled. There was no attempt to call, email, or text me about the situation. Very little in the way of an apology, but instead the defensive mantra, "Sorry, it's policy." on repeat.||So I interpret that to mean Marriott doesn't care about my business, much less my satisfaction. The lesson is, to double or triple-check your reservation in their musical chairs reservation system so you aren't the one left without a place to stay. Or you can do what I did and book the hotel next door that has better quality and price.

Reservation system and customer service fail. I made reservations for this hotel four months in advance. I confirmed via an emailed "check in" form the day before my visit. Bet you can guess what happened...

Yep, they canceled by reservation and said, they had trouble charging my CC for my [possible] incidentals - in advance of my arrival. I told them to let me charge it now, since I know there isn't wasn't an issue with my CC. They said, "Sorry, we canceled your reservation and gave the room to someone else. Now we are fully booked. Sorry it's policy" SO I booked in advance, flew four hours, checked in on time, but you bump me because you overbooked your hotel? If there was an issue, why didn't you call, text or email me? I am a Marriott gold member and get marketing correspondence all the time, but you can't contact me to say there is problem with potential incidental charges

Seems unfair and really bad customer service to a repeat customer. The good news is, the Hilton around the corner was happy to have me. (And they had no trouble running my CC for incidentals.)

I want to start by expressing my deep disappointment with the way this company handles situations involving its employees.

I recently started working at this Residence Inn as a night auditor, a position responsible for accounting and revenue reports. Initially, I felt things were going well as I was trained and understood my responsibilities. However, things took a turn during an interaction with a coworker. One evening, a guest asked to use the outside amenities, and being new, I wasn’t sure where the light switches were. I approached a coworker I had become familiar with, asking for assistance. Instead of helping, they responded with anger, claiming it was against policy and that they wouldn’t show me how to turn on the lights, regardless of what I said.

I decided to figure it out myself and turned the lights on for the guest. Afterward, I was confronted by this coworker, who came at me aggressively, shouting that he would turn the lights off if I didn’t. I told him he wasn’t responsible for the front desk and should remain in his role as housekeeping. He then claimed to be the security guard, but I pointed out that he wasn’t a licensed security officer in California, so his claim was irrelevant.

At some point, he began recording the incident, and later, management told me they had a video of the confrontation. I immediately emailed management that night to explain the situation, and they acknowledged it, promising to investigate further.

I continued with my shifts as usual, but this coworker was scheduled for a shift with me shortly afterward and failed to show up, resulting in his absence being marked.

The following week, I was informed by the general manager, Sarah, that after HR reviewed everything, I was being terminated. Despite being the one who was confronted and not the aggressor, I was told I was being fired because I raised my voice during the encounter. Although I never physically confronted this person, they claimed they couldn't see that part on camera.

I later spoke with HR, and they told me that because of the length of time the coworker had been with the company, they would side with him over me. I expressed that I felt discriminated against, as I am the only African American employee at this location, apart from an older employee, who seems to be treated with more respect. HR dismissed my concerns, saying their decision was final and that I would be disciplined, while my coworker would not.

In light of this situation, I feel compelled to take legal action for wrongful termination and discrimination.

Additionally, I want to warn future guests and potential employees about this location. The cleanliness of the rooms and breakfast area does not meet standard Marriott expectations, and I have pictures to support this claim. The hotel operates with its own rules, not following Marriott policies, and I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here or working here, especially if you're African American, as the work environment does not seem to be inclusive or fair.

I rarely leave reviews, but after my recent stay at the residence in San Bernardino I felt compelled to share my experience. It was, unfortunately, a major letdown from start to finish.||||When I arrived, I was greeted by Abram at the front desk, and right from the start, I could tell something was off. His attitude was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of offering a warm welcome or answering my questions about the amenities, he barely looked up from the computer screen and seemed irritated by my simple inquiries. I understand that staff can have busy days, but his lack of professionalism was inexcusable.||||The room itself was disappointing too. It was not properly cleaned, with dust on the furniture and stains on the carpet. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom had signs of neglect. I’m usually not too picky, but for the price I paid, I expected much better.||||To top it off, when I tried to voice my concerns to Abram, he was uninterested in helping and barely acknowledged my complaints. It was clear that customer service wasn’t a priority for him or the hotel in general.||||I’m really disappointed with my stay at residence inn San Bernardino. It’s clear that the hotel doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction or cleanliness, and I won’t be returning. I would advise others to look elsewhere for a more pleasant experience.

Overall was a pleasant experience. I had a great room on the third floor with mountain views, and the room truly felt like a home away from home for my 15 day stay. Gym is nice and is open 24 hours, and the hotel is close to many businesses (BY CAR).

Now, although it was a good experience there are a few things to note. Location is a 2 out of 5 due to bad walkability. For example, There is a Costco and Guitar Center directly behind the hotel…but there’s a massive wall completely blocking guests from walking, and this wall extends about a half mile down and is very inconvenient and borderline risky to go around. Also, alot of homeless people wonder by here and scream, as well as some local kid playing basketball at the hotel’s court with his broken car alarm blaring over and over. Apparently he wasn’t even staying here.

The dishwasher was very gross and after using it, the dishes smelled awful and I had to handwash them to fully clean them.

Although the rooms have a kitchen, keep in mind that there is NO ventilation at all, just a microwave fan that blows into cabinets. They have the windows bolted so they can barely open, so if you cook food, the smell may linger for days to weeks. I highly recommend baking instead.

Getting your room cleaned is quite a hassle as well. I called on a Saturday, was told they would clean on monday. But on Monday, I was told I had to wait on Tuesday. Then tuesday the front desk worker said to put a “were all set” sign on the door for a cleaning, this seemed odd but after clarifying, she said to put up this sign. Turns out, they skipped my room twice because of this sign… total miscommunication I guess.

Also, there is a section of the 2nd floor (around 201) that smells SO BAD. Like a zoo or awful body stenches, and this section also has alot of yelling people and parties. Let me reiterate, this section smells AWFUL. Avoid it at all costs, just walking through it is sickening. It smells like zoo poop, possibly a horse or very dirty dog.

Overall a good experience though! Just be aware, and avoid the second floor, and room dishwasher.
