Really enjoyed this hotel for a work trip!!||The check-in was seamless - quick, efficient, polite and on point. The room was extremely comfortable with good AC/heat, though the shower was very hard to turn off and stop the dripping. ||The lounge was great and the folks who work in the lounge and in the restaurant are so nice. Grace the B&F director took such good care of me and made sure I had a good meal accommodating my dietary restrictions. ||I really enjoyed working in the lounge and bar space downstairs. Very fun spaces. The super nice people really made this stay exceptional.

I had high expectations of the Renaissance as I had stayed at one in DC a few years back and enjoyed it. My flights from DFW were delayed so I got in late to this location. As we arrived I noticed a few ‘waifs’ hanging around the hotel that didn’t appear to be staying here. Just based on their very sparse wear. As I went to check in, I noticed 2 young females walk in (honestly they looked and were dressed like street urchins, no offence .) No one stopped them at the front and they seemed to sail right on in. I can safely stay i didn’t feel safe as I have heard of many Marriott hotels that rent out their rooms to the city who then provide housing to homeless folks. The Sheraton Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia did this for 2 yrs when I lived there. This did not seem to be my idea of a relaxing few days doing some remote work. I called customer service and was told I would get charged for leaving the hotel early…I guess even if a woman feels unsafe, the hotel’s attitude is too bad, so sad. Anyway, I will try and leave this hotel before my 2 nights are up as it definitely seems a bit off from the clientele right down to the overly enthusiastic and kinda fake front desk staff. My dad always used to say “no one is that over the top at midnight unless there’s a problem.’ Hopefully they’ll let me check out and I won’t lose a ton of money. The front guy George said if I was hungry I could get some wings from a pub behind the restaurant but a guy who was heading upstairs said he wouldn’t suggest it at this time. Now I’m creeped out.

Rooms are excellent, I had an executive suite; very clean, spacious. Bathrooms were spacious, all appliances are updated.

If I had to complain about anything at all the toilets are super low to the ground, and the water was high; was not comfortable; if you know what I mean.

Lounge on the 19th floor was excellent, breakfast, lunch snacks, and dinner appetizers. Try to water in the machine; excellent. Jordan the young lady who served us the alcohol was extremely accommodating It made the experience great. She’s very attentive to our needs.

They have a little shop and a Starbucks in the hotel. Also a nice restaurant; excellent food.

Older hotel that has been renovated, as a local I can say I have never been here prior to renovation but the lobby is very nice! Nice upgrades to modern amenities in the rooms. My only gripe was that the TV just kept going to a blank screen. Not sure if that was unique to my room or site wide. And did have some noisy neighbors, but that's not the hotels fault, just ask for non adjoining rooms as the doors seem to be very thin. Would stay here again.

Hotel room was very clean and available upon my arrival. There is a hotel bar that has plenty of seating in the lobby as well as a full Starbucks that is open very early. In the basement of the hotel is a convenient FedEx office for business needs. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to assist with all needs during the event that we attended there during the week.

In the basement is a speakeasy that had an awesome atmosphere and great drinks.

The front desk and management not professional at all. They cannot provide clear information, related to facilities and all staff including the manager is very lack of experience and uneducated in hospitality.

Guest parking must be valet, and long queues with non-hotel guests.

We can hear noise from the room that rate $340++ (with no free breakfast and cheap equipment) even when the other room closes the door or someone walks by, the room is totally not worth the price,
don't get trapped to stay here!

Beautiful hotel, location is downtown so it is very busy. If you're going because you want a relaxing environment, this is not the place for you. The elevators are small and only allow 6 at a time, so if there is a large group or convention held at the hotel, getting up to your room will be a challenge. They only have valet, no option to self park, so that is another added charge that is quite pricey and again if there are alot of people it takes quite some time to get your car. There are many things to do and see downtown though, so if you can find most things you need within walking distance but if the purpose of your visit requires you to be in places other than downtown it is a bit of a challenge. Beautiful hotel but not my first pick of places to stay.

This is a great hotel right in the middle of downtown Phoenix.
When I arrived, I got checked in right away and the service was great.
I got upgraded from a regular room to a junior suite because of my Marriott status. That suite was huge.
There is also a nice lounge on the top floor. And on the 5th floor, there's a big pool and there's also a really big outdoor area just to hang out and have gatherings at.

Overall this is a great hotel with great service in a great location.
