We used the hotel as our base for a 7 day LA trip. Covenient located with easy acces to Highways/Freways/Interstate so 40 min driving to Universal or Disney so not too bad. Lots of restaurants around or even a better sellection within 5 min driving. Safe area for late night walks also. Hotel is a basic 4 star hotel (oficial rating is actually 3) but very clean. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. As we were leaving early every morning we only had breakfast one morning. Maybe the front office staff can be more friendly/welcoming but again that didnt bother us. The heathed swiming pool was a bonus.|For us the hotel was perfect so hopefully will be returning there.

The hotel was a much older Hilton than I am accustomed to. The service was good, the room was, well a room. Right across from the ocean which was nice. I also had a very small balcony which was nice to be able to open - but not big enough to sit down. The restaurant was really not much. It was basically a lobby bar/food place. I had a BLT there which was ok. The atmosphere was definitely not was I expected from a Hilton. I did have the outdoor pool to myself which was nice. Not sure I would go back….especially after reading the sign saying some materials in the building have been known to cause cancer. I understand it may be a CA thing to have these, but still, a bit unsettling. I actually checked out my first night instead of the 5 nights I was going to be there.

What a great find! We spent 2 nights here post cruise since we have never been to LA and it did not disappoint.
This quaint little hotel close to the beach, pier and everything the South Bay has to offer exceeded my expectations.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The lobby and cafe were bright and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced.
The rooms were clean, modern and the beds were very comfortable.
The pool area was really nice, clean and the hot tub was great
I realize that reviews are subjective based on your experience and price range. I try to stay in hotels that rate over 4 stars and this one was far better than the majority of those.
If you are expecting luxurious accommodations, spectacular views of the beaches and marinas and fine dinning then this isn't your place.
If you want friendly staff, comfort, cleanliness, a great location and a relaxing stay that won't break the bank, this is your place.
Remember, don't expect champagne when you are paying beer prices. As far as beer goes, this is one of the best.
I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for affordable accommodations in Redondo or Hermosa.

The beds were comfortable and the location is great, but the breakfast arrangement is cheap (except for the prices!). Do you really expect your guests to stand in a queue where the single barista struggles to take food orders (from a very limited menu!) while serving coffee and other beverages. Unfortunately there is nowhere available for breakfast within easy walking distance so we were stuck with this poor arrangement.....

No breakfast included at this Hilton Hotel. Instead of a breakfast service this Hilton had a bar where you could buy your Starbucks coffee. Get ready to pay for parking your car in their outdoor parking lot that didn’t have in security staff. And no staff to help someone who might need help getting their bags to their room.|The plus were - Staff was able accommodate an early check in the day I checked in. Clean rooms with a microwave and mini refrigerator and a tub in the bathroom. Great location- across the street from a Cheese Factory restaurant. Friendly bartender who made hanging out after dinner inviting and a nice place to relax. |Close to LAX if you have a way to get to the airport. No shuttle service to LAX. |If you want a hotel a quick walk across the street, this hotel might work for you.

Bedroom was OK for myself and my travelling partner. It was not made clear on the website that you had to pay for parking daily and it was a higher rate than I paid for parking anywhere else on my trip-- even in LA. Annoying since my stay was during November, nowhere near peak beach season.
Also if this hotel has continental breakfast, I could not find it. May only be available through room service at a fee. Never had a hotel nickel and dime me like this before. Also the shower was broken when we got there and sprayed water everywhere.
The employees were all very courteous and kind.

Great hotel with good prices in an awesome location. Renovated lobby and exterior looks really nice. Rooms are a little dated with basic bathrooms but it more than gets the job done at the beach. AC in the room blows cold which is wonderful. Bar in the lobby has great seating, drinks, food, and service. Bikes available for rent are a little rickety but they work for flat bike path out front. Easy walking to Redondo pier. Take the car if going to the beach with gear and park at the pier. Catch the sunset from Old Tony's! 15min bike ride to Hermosa.
