I was visiting SD for the first time in 10 years and love their food. It was awful this weekend. I ordered Carne Asada fries, no guacamole or sour cream. I get Carne Asada Fries no guacamole, no sour cream AND No cheese. Why would the person who prepared this think loading fries & meat in a box was a good thing. SMH I was pressed for time and took the L. But my L doesn't have to be yours,...BEWARE, Check your order..no matter how simple you think you made it.

Subpar food, expensive pricing, subpar customer service
1. Over $16 dollars! for carne asada Fries
2 fries were too thick compared to most other taco shops and they were stale and overall didn’t taste great
3. They put very minimal carne asada
4. Plate wasn’t even full so they skimp on the portions compared to how much they charge
5. Only give you 2 sauces and you MUST PAY for extra sauce which was my biggest concern specially since they are the most expensive carne asada fries I’ve ever paid for
6. It costs 0.46¢ cents for ONE extra sauce
7. When I told the lady I wanted to pay for an extra sauce, she rolled her eyes like it’s so difficult to provide basic customer service.
8. I gave her .50¢ and she didn’t give me my .04¢ back, which I really don’t care it’s just four cents but it’s the gesture that bothered me

Taco Shops are getting ridiculously expensive. Paid $14.00 for 2 beef tacos with little beef, rice and beans. I've noticed fewer cars at drive through. No wonder. I'd be more inclined if they kept prices somewhat reasonable. I realize labor, rent, etc has increased, but I get more for my Dinero elsewhere.

This place is always inconsistent. Not only that, I feel like they profile you. I wouldn’t mind being profiled if the food was decent but it’s always been horrible. On top of them being immature and in there 40s. They didn’t provide sauce, it’s an extra charge depending on who you are.

The rolled tacos were cooked perfectly. That's where the "one star" experience ended.

I requested two orders of three (3) rolled tacos with cheese but didn't want the cheese. According to the current menu, this item is $3.99 each. I was asked if I wanted cheese and guacamole. The addition of guacamole changes the order and makes the item $4.99 each. Initially, I agreed to adding guacamole but, on the side, but still refused cheese. Then I changed my mind and refused the guacamole and returned to my original order of plain rolled tacos.

The woman asked very sharply, "You just want plain?" I responded, "Yes, plain." She asked again and I answered her again the same way. Why is she making a judgement call on how I order rolled tacos?

Clearly, she did because I was charged the price for the rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole - $4.99 - not the original price. When I questioned it, she treated me like I'm stupid and told me about the sales tax. Really?

The receipt and pictures of the food are proof I wasn't charged accurately. I wasn't treated fairly nor was I treated well. My family has spent untold amounts of money there over the decades. This one order - and the $2 plus tax difference is not a ton of money on this one occasion - but it could make a difference to someone else. How you treat customers - and whether you keep or lose them - is everything. Remember that the next time you're faced with this situation.

At Ramberto's Taco Shop in Spring Valley you can grab a great burrito 🌯 😋. Still need to try the menudo, kinda bummed no caldo de res; but still plenty of yummy choices and drive thru open 24hrs- which is what we like 😉. *Tip- if the walk up window is closed then don't walk up and try to order, it's CLOSED 🤣.
