This sunset jeep tour is, by far, top notch! Totally exceeded our expectations in every way. Our guide, Rebel, was so knowledgeable and friendly with amazing stories. The views as we rode to the top of the mountain were spectacular! Then, when we reached the top, we were greeted by the owners, Charles and Ginger. They were so warm and inviting and have the most interesting stories of their long life together and how they came to live at the top of the mountain. The “gift shop” was so cozy and so beautiful, complete with coffee, hot chocolate, warm cookies and snacks. The views at this vantage point were magical. If you are considering a sunset jeep tour, look no further Rackensack is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! We will be back to take the gold mine tour. Thank you, Charles, Ginger and Rebel for an unforgettable experience.

Fantastic tour! Rebel, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us interested and entertained the whole time. The views were spectacular and the cliffside mountain drive was adventurous! We enjoyed meeting Charles (former championship bull rider) and his wife, Ginger who now the land. They were very hospitable hosts. Their mountaintop home and guest space is beautiful. We enjoyed going into the gold mine that was operational in the late 1800's and early 1900's and hearing the stories about how they mined for gold. Overall a great tour. Highly recommend.

This was absolutely the highlight of my trip to Phoenix and Scottsdale. An absolutely professional, hospitable , informative, safe, and FUN tour!!! Our tour guide was Rebel , and she knew everything about the land and also has a very charismatic personality! Meeting Ginger and Charlie and their incredible home and learning the history of how they built their home and roads was unforgettable and also humbling. They gave credit to the land to the people before them. I highly recommend this tour. They also offer a helicopter tour and a tour of the gold mines! If you were thinking about doing this, absolutely absolutely do it!

The Concierge at The Boulders Resort suggested this tour and it was perfect for us. Our tour guide Dave was funny, friendly and had lots of info about the desert and history of the area. We made several stops in the desert for pictures on our way up the mountain. Once we got to the top we met Charles & Ginger who were waiting with cookies and coffee and a view all the way to forever! We had an absolute blast on this tour between Charles teaching me to rope a steer, Ginger singing me Happy Birthday and Dave just being a fun person to spend the day with, this is great tour and we WILL do it again and highly recommend it! Thanks for the great memories Charles & Ginger and Dave!!

This tour is one of the most unique and memorable experiences I've ever had while traveling. The tour is through the Tonto National Forest by Jeep. However, one of the things that makes this tour so unique is that once you're in the forest, you are brought to Ginger and Charles's home (the owners) on their private property on the very top of the mountain. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We got to meet them and talk about our lives while we sat with their beautiful view of the mountain. Ginger had refreshments and snacks for us to enjoy. The cookies were so yummy. Ginger and Charles were both so warm and inviting, my friend and I felt very safe with them. They have their very own gold mine on their property, so we did their gold mine tour, and it was great. Most people do not own the land and the gold mine too, so for them to have both and allow guests to enjoy them too is amazing. Our tour guide, Rebel, was such a ray of sunshine and so accepting in the way that she talked and moved. She was so very warm and was able to answer any questions we asked, which was a lot😂. I couldn't recommend Rackensack Canyon Tours enough! Anyone who takes this tour will be beyond happy with their experience. It really is like no other!

Having done many jeep and hummer tours in Arizona, I enjoyed this destination tour into a new area. The driver/tour guide explained various scenery, gulches, canyons, plus history as we journeyed to the residence on the mountain top. We were met by gracious hosts and provided refreshments plus took in the spectacular view. They had a gift shop as well. Our guide explained the flora and fauna in the area at one of our stops. Residing on a mountain top opened our eyes to solar, water source, and living in general at that location for 20 years. The new jeep was a good vehicle for the tour. The microphone headset for the driver enabled all of us to hear his comments. I recommend this tour.

I am a 3rd generation Arizonan with a huge heart for the beauty of my state. The Rackensack Canyon Tour blew me away with the amazing iconic Sonoran Desert sites and the knowledge our incredible tour guide (Rebecca) shared. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, natives and tourists alike. I learned so much and loved the trails we took. It was REALLY special to take my 4th generation AZ-ers on the tour with me!

Our group had a great experience on the Desert to Mountaintop tour. The guide (Rebel) was very informative and knowledgeable. The trip itself up to the mountaintop was nothing short of exciting! Short switchbacks, steep drop-offs give you that WOW factor on the way up. Charles and Ginger (the owners of the mountaintop retreat) put in so much work to the building, the road, the infrastructure. So cool!
