Tent camping with the family went well here. Each site had much needed elevated trash hooks, picnic table and fire ring. We chose site 23&24 for their water and electricity hookups.

This isn't a hotel of course so my above rating of rooms is zero and service because of conditions in public restrooms and bath house.

Restrooms and bath house are not very clean nor maintained well. Insects everywhere (of course) which seems all too typical of Army Corp of Engineers owned parks in Georgia. Also typical of A.C.E. parks the water levels are "managed" so prior to your visit you will have to check water levels if you're hoping to enjoy watersports or fishing in at least some parts of this park.
In early October it was very peaceful and used mostly by RV owners. If you're an RV owner you will likely find this park has many available sites in the fall season and without concern for public bathrooms you will find this park very accommodating and near (enough) to the interstate and nearby (populated) towns of West Point and Lagrange, Georgia.

Great place to camp with family and friends. Have many memories over the years. One thing that needs to be updated by the Army Corps of Engineers is the restrooms and bathhouses. Photo opportunities are endless, fishing is good, kayaking and boating is good, along with bird watching.

Such a wonderful place. Management was so polite, helpful and understanding. Once we landed it was so peaceful, clean and had very friendly neighbors. We hope to do this again and again. Easy entry, easy to maneuver the rv into its place and easy to leave. Please plan to visit here soon. Much love to the Management staff for helping us find our spot and helping us settle in. The stories these two must have.

Update* Until The Loud Music being played on weekends in public area across the Lake we will not be back it was ridiculous *** This place is awesome, most of sites are right on the lake. Staff was very very friendly and helpful. Be sure and ask about Senior and Disability discounts 1/2 price off your camping. I really liked this place and it was close to home.

We love the peaceful atmosphere of the campground. The campsites are well-maintained and spacious but the bathrooms need updating. It would be nice to have fans in the bathrooms to keep them cool. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful.
