Since Google Maps does not allow direct responses to the owner’s comment, I am posting this follow-up so that others can see the full picture and avoid this place.
First, regarding the so-called “fire hazard”: I did not bring an extra bed frame into the room, as falsely claimed. It was a mattress, not a frame, and it did not block the A/C or pose any safety risk. The real issue here is that the owner himself entered my room without permission, which is a serious violation of guest privacy. As long as I had paid for my stay, that room was my private space, and his actions could be considered a legal violation.
Second, the claim that housekeepers entered for “routine cleaning” is misleading because my complaint was not about the cleaning staff, but about the owner’s aggressive and disrespectful behavior. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he chose to barge into my room and blame me for something completely unreasonable.
Third, the ventilation system was in terrible condition. Every time I used the bathroom, dust settled on the towels, clearly indicating a lack of maintenance. This is not only a serious health risk but also a fire hazard, given the accumulation of dust in the system. However, the owner’s response makes it clear that these safety concerns do not bother or concern him in the slightest.
Finally, the extra cash charge taken in an unprofessional manner further reflects the shady way this place is managed. Rather than being a transparent transaction, it felt more like a scam. The owner’s dismissive and misleading response only proves my point. Instead of addressing real concerns, he deflects blame and refuses to take responsibility. If you are considering staying here, I strongly advise against it—you are better off avoiding both the poor conditions and the toxic management.

I know it’s lower end rated motel but the rooms were better than expected, the service was great and the breakfast was respectable. The night desk clerk (who was still there more than 12 hours later the next morning!) even called our room after we checked in to make sure all was in order. Fresh caulking by the tub, nice beds and sheets. Was this a true 5 star like a Ritz? Of course not. But honestly, do you expect more of a Ritz—maybe a bed turn down service? Geesh. If that’s the distinction then this little 2 star gets 5 stars in my book.

the staff is very rude especially the manager... the breakfast is terrible, expired food, disgusting coffee... they cancelled my reservation because I didn't indicate that there would be 3 people even though I booked the room for 4 people((( a very unpleasant experience. avoid this location

"Decent" Inn. It was fine, nothing wrong with it. I had a little trouble with my room key, could be a problem if you're in a hurry. It was quiet despite being right by the highway.
Not as good as Quality Inn used to be, but MUCH better than I would expect from Wyndham.

We showed up around 8pm, prepayed. Owner was disgruntled and rude. Not a good start.
His wife, tho, is a gem and takes great pride in her hotel! She introduced her housekeeping staff that have been there many years. They are appreciated and take pride in what they do!
The rooms were very clean (I check tops of door jams, baseboards, behind furniture- just the janitor in me, lol), beds were very comfortable, shower was hot with good water pressure.
Breakfast was enough to get you going, and they have a waffle maker, which is always a hit!
We didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean.
Definitely will be back when in the area.

The rooms are nice. The attendant is the rudest ever. He doesn't want you to stay at his place. If it wasn't for how tired I was, I would have found another place to stay. The location is convenient.

Another hotel bought by a cheap Indian family & run into the ground. Check in is at 3 but it was well past 4:30pm before any rooms were ready. The AC has a cheapskate thermostat so you can't keep it on for long at all, it won't even let you keep the fan running. And for some reason the window is blocked open so you can't fully close it, so street noise is an issue too. No way to get a good night's sleep here. These greedy families ruin every hotel they take over, it's an epidemic.
