I have ordered vegetable biryani and I made sure multiple times to remind them to make it without cheese or any milk ingredient for health purposes.
The lady said yes of course we will make it for you without cheese.
Before I got the food, she took it to the back to check if there any cheese added. It took her a while and that makes me think she found the cheese and she removed it.
When she gave me the order, she confirmed there was no cheese added,
I left. While I start eating, I saw a cheese crumble so I start looking closely. Unfortunately it was made with cheese and she lied.
This place don't care about customers health.
Very disrespectful.

I drove all the way from Modesto to try this place out. This was my very first visit to this restaurant and I fell in love with everything about it! Extremely friendly, attentive and patient owners and staff with amazing customer service! The whole restaurant from ceiling to floor was very clean and tidy, including the restrooms. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves to eat authentic Indian food! (Late post)

Stopped at Punjab Sweets & Restaurant on our way back from Yosemite to the Bay Area — and it was a hidden gem! 🍛 It's a small, hole-in-the-wall place, but the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Amritsari Kulcha with Channa, Paneer Pakora, Samosa, and Lassi — all tasted amazing and came in generous portions. Highly recommend stopping by if you're craving authentic Punjabi food. 👍🏼

I've visited this restaurant for its sweets a few times and it wasn't until tonight I finally made time to dine in. Parking may be limited since the restaurant is located right next to other businesses. I parked at the True Value hardware store's lot only to realize there was parking right in front of the restaurant.

The interior is small and clean. The small TV and the different decorations around the dining area made me relax. The food exceeded my expectations. I tried their samosas and their chicken biryani and I'm already looking forward to trying more food from the menu. The food was literally steaming hot and tasted really fresh.

So, I was little bummed when the cups of water did not come with ice. Because the food was so hot (not necessarily spicy), I needed to drink something cold. But I managed with a second serving of water. The service overall was good. The waitress was friendly and helpful during my stay. I appreciate her checking in to see if I needed anything else while I was enjoying the food

We were driving on Hwy 99 and looking for indian food. Fortunately we found this place which is in Livingston, CA. We ordered Pakora, Aloo Parata, Chicken Vindaloo, Paneer Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan & Veg Biryani. I guess you can tell we were hungry. Food was typical Punjabi dhaba style and very tasty. We really enjoyed our meal here. Definitely recommend this place if you are in this area.

I've always loved there food! Delicious, flavorful and just the right spiciness. The butter chicken and channa masala with rotis are some of my favorites. One of the best places to get Indian food!

Food not as expected. Asked for medium spice but hardly any spice in food. Garlic naan was dry and has dark burnt specks on them. Rice was not included in order despite ordering tikka masala. Did not enjoy food, customer service was ok. Stick to indian food in Merced.

There is no food like Indian food (for us Indians 😋). This is not a place to enjoy the ambience or service. If you like tasty Indian food, especially on your trips back and forth from the bay area, this is the place to be. We stopped at this place on our trip back from Yosemite, and we were glad we stopped. We ordered Tea, Samosa, Dahi Bhalle Chat, Masala Lassi, Tawa Rotis, Goat Curry, Bhindi Masala, Kadi Pakoda, Mushroom Do Pyaza. Every thing was very tasty and satiating. Must stop folks!.

Here are the only downsides to this place:
The curd could have been creamier and portions of curries larger. We ordered all those things for a group of 4 cause the portions were small (we were hungry after doing the vernal falls trail and driving immediately back). If these things are worked upon, this place could be a 5*.
