My grandson had the barbecue rib plate and he upgraded side to French fries. He loved the ribs and the fries! He gave me his homemade chili beans because he's not a bean person. You can tell they are made from scratch. They are so good. I had the tri-tip wrap and it was delicious too. We didn't know they closed at 6pm we got there at 5:40, and they still served us. We sat out on the patio, and they turned on the heater lamp for us at our table, it was nice sitting outside even though it was dark, but they had it well lit and well heated. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service and the meal was delicious. We will definitely going back. 😋

I came in for lunch and ordered the two entrée plates. I got tri-tip and ribs. It comes with two sides, which I ordered chili beans and mac & cheese.
Mac & cheese was delicious, they even throw in some hot links bites so it gives a little spice. The chili beans were pretty good.
I didn’t really care much for the ribs or the tri-tip. They both tasted as if they were yesterday‘s meat that had been cooked yesterday and reheated.
I did order some peach cobbler to go and when I got home that evening, I had it and it was delicious. I hope this was just an off day.

really good brisket and chili beans and dinner rolls but the Mac and cheese is awesome!!!
friendly staff, front porch dining with a massive BBQ pit in front,inside dining and a back patio dining room make for a place that's welcoming and cozy. one of the better restaurants in Bakersfield! highly recommend!!!

Very friendly staff. Loved picking my steak from the butcher. Watched it, walked to the grill, and placed in front of me cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was amazing.

The place is such cute little barbecue and meat place. It’s designed beautifully. The prices are average for barbecue, the outdoor seating is my favorite. I had the brisket combo plate which comes with two sides and I got to try the potato salad and the mac & cheese. The potato salad was good. The mac & cheese was one of the best I’ve had. It’s similar to salty and that it’s a bit zesty and has that same kind of flavor but the noodles are better and the cheese is better. Best macaroni and cheese. The brisket is the meat I chose, but they also gave me a hot link on the side. The hot link was so delicious. It wasn’t just a red hot with like cayenne in it, it had a lot of Tenderness and the skin was crisp and the flavor was amazing. The brisket tasted great. I came literally five minutes before close so I got some dryer pieces because obviously it was the end of the day. Even then it was worth it. The brisket is Cook cooked correctly on a smoker and seasoned correctly. It was good. I only took away a star because I came at the end of the day so half of my brisket was not moist, but it was still enjoyable to eat. And the pieces with fat or the pieces that were not dry were just as good As any good barbecue place. For two people to get a combo plate and a drink was around $58 but they have cheaper options even burgers. They also have a butcher right in the restaurant and a case of drinks that’s really impressive. The staff was exceedingly friendly and some of the best service I’ve had in Bakersfield. It has a really good vibe all over it

Food was delicious. Got a three meat platter. Everything was great but the ribs were the best of my life. Beans that came with were so delicious. Portions are big and I split the platter with my daughter. Perfect amount of food for 2 smaller appetites.

Food was amazing. Really liked the sandwich i got. My wife was impressed with her plate as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean and well organized. Definitely would recommend this place.

Delayed review, but so well-deserved. This place is hands down exceptional! These folks catered a birthday celebration of 10+ for us. Ribs, chicken, tri-tip, chili beans, salad, peach cobbler, salsa, dressing and bbq sauce. The whole set-up! Everything was delivered hot, organized, beautifully presented and on time. The logistics of ordering were easy, thorough and very professionally too. John helped us out. Love this spot!
