Amazing Clam Chowder on Fridays. I got strawberry lemonade, very yummy. Fries are yummy, and the crispy chicken wrap is also ok, but it’s better than anything I can make at home lol. The atmosphere is very cozy and home like to me, love the green and brown colors. The waitress was also very nice and talkative. Overall five stars! =]

We found the restaurant on google search and thought we would try it out. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo with a side salad. The salad was fresh and very tasty. The Chicken Alfredo was not good. It had way too much shredded Parmesan and sauce on it. The noodles and chicken were swimming in the sauce. I also found it had a taste which I can’t really put my finger on but I just couldn’t eat it. A few bites and I was done. My husband ordered the Seafood Trio which was the special for the day. It came with cod, popcorn shrimp and clam strips with fries and a for a side he had the fried cabbage. He did enjoy that except the cod coating was a bit soggy. The server was quite pleasant.

Absolutely DELICIOUS, the food was great, they accommodated a group of around 20 people. They didn't miss a beat. Great service, great food. Definitely looking forward to going back.
By the way the biscuits and gravy are perfect.

A charming countryside restaurant that gets busy around lunchtime. The service is very friendly, and we received a warm welcome. The food is generally tasty; our filet mignon was tender and well-cooked, and the burger was delicious. The sides were just okay. Some of the potato chips were soft and not crispy, and the fried onion rings and cheese sticks were not homemade.

If I could rate this place 🤢🤢🤢, I would.

Ordered the sole fish and chips, and a beer. The dinner salad and beer only came after about 12 minutes despite the restaurant being nearly empty. I assume the waiter forgot. When my food came just a few minutes later, the waiter attempted to blame it on the cook despite my not saying anything about it... right.

Salad tasted like it was sourced from the same lettuce supplier as McDonald's. The sole fish and chips was easily in the top three worst fish and chips I've had, and I've had a lot. The fish was sad and frozen, the breading on the sole lacked flavor and whatever flavor it had was bizarre: appeared to have mustard seeds on it(?). I assume from the menu's description it was gluten free, but could never ask the absentee waiter what kind of breading it was (or why it tasted so awful). It's hard to screw up fries, but Powerhouse accomplished just that.

When the slop, I mean meal, came, I asked for cocktail sauce, and the waiter assured me it was on its way. Little did I know that would be the last I would see of my waiter.

The cocktail sauce never came, the waiter never came to check up on me once after dropping the slop off, didn't refill my water after getting my food, and I had to go up to the front counter to pay as she apparently got completely distracted by one of the other tables at this nearly empty restaurant. (Two waiters on staff, at most five parties were seated in the whole restaurant.)

Paid at the front counter where I had to debate with the hostess who tried to charge me over $80 for this nearly inedible meal. While all this happened, a woman who I assume was the manager or owner just chit chatted with the hostesses, who were just standing there idly the entire time I was there, while the waiter completely failed at her job. (My table faced the front counter / hostess stand.)

Powerhouse Grill, never again, not even once. Yakima is a small, geographically isolated town with a captive audience and this restaurant certainly takes advantage of that.

To summarize: Felt like I was one of the patrons in an episode of Restaurant Impossible. Ugh.

***update***
My husband emailed the owner, who called him within an hour. She was mortified and thanked him for the honest feedback. She reimbursed us for our meal and sent another $100 gift certificate. She also promised to work with her staff to fix the issues and invited us to come try the oysters again. I thought about removing my review but chose to leave it because it’s important to see how a great business owner handles complaints. We will certainly give them another try.

Isaak our server was great. The food was awful. The panfried oysters were mushy and tasteless. The deep fried pickles were limp. My husbands deep fried cod was borderline burnt and 2/3 of it was just batter with very little fish. My grandson got steak nachos and it looked like they dumped the last of the bag on a plate (it was largly crumbs not chips) and the cheese was so hard and cold when he went to pick up a chip half the pile came up with it. Over half the chips had no cheese at all.
We spent over $100 on dinner for 3 and all left very disappointed. I NEVER complain. Even when I get mediocre food I'll finish it because I hate for things to go to waste. But I couldn't. Left over half my meal. And my grandson (11 year old football player who is 5'8" and almost 200lbs) left half his nachos. That speaks volumes!
I will never go back. Food quality is probably the worst I've ever paid for.

Had Halibut fish and chips. The serving was generous. 3 good sized pieces of halibut. Instead of French fries, they had chips. Potato chips but better. Thick.

Never a disappointment! My family and I have been coming here for years! My kiddos LOVE their crepes! Their service is incredibly consistent, and their prices very reasonable considering the quality of food & service.
