👍 Reviews of Postcard Cabins Big Bear

Pros:
Cabins are generally as advertised, clean and customer service in top notch. Customer service is responsive and even accommodated a request for our friends to have cabins near one another. There is not much to do within the venue but that was my goal.
Cons: The only reason I am not giving 4 or 5 stars for this experience is that (1) the heater at the "Esther" room was not operating during my stay in mid-March when it was snowing and raining and (2) the dog treat was not provided. For about $500 for two nights on a Sunday - Tuesday in the off season, this is a luxury for a lot of people. It was about 30 degrees at night and there was a small back up heater that we used. I had to also borrow blankets and drink whiskey to stay warm. We could not use the shower since it was so cold at night. They offered to move us to another cabin but that was not practical at 9 pm without nights and a modest blizzard outside.
Running Springs is prone to temperamental weather so Post Cabins is responsible for providing habitable units as advertised. They did offer a $75 refunds which was a nice gesture but insufficient given the extreme circumstances. If you plan to go, make sure the HVAC system is working. Hope this review helps others. There are comparable options nearby for a fraction of the price. It seems this venue is becoming more and more corporate for better or for worse.

This was a nearly perfect experience save for one minor, yet jarring issue at the end! Getting there was easy, all the cabins are not too far off a main road. Each cabin comes with its own unique name and parking spot. They are all adequately spaced out so privacy is not a concern.
We found the cabin to be very tidy and clean, with well laid out instructions and tips for various things inside. The environment has suitable space for 2 so more than that would be a tight squeeze. Though the kitchen and bathroom are on the small size, they come equipped with many items such as bowls, utensils, soap, towels, and a heater. However, it would have been nice to see a hair dryer be made available. The extra cost for the campfire made for a more fun experience, especially if you spring for a cabin with a better view. The wood provided is said to last a few hours and ours lasted about as long, though you can purchase more for an added cost.
Booking with a discount code definitely offers the best value. I happened to book via a Black Friday discount for 30% off, but they seem to always have codes floating around, especially through emails, so its best to get on their email list.
As for what happened at the end? With a little over 30 minutes before the official check out time, housekeeping banged on our door while we were in the middle of getting dressed. We were literally yelling for them to not open the door and that we were still inside the cabin! I don't think this is a common occurrence, but it did happen so it left a bit of a stain on an otherwise great trip.

Had a wonderful experience staying at Postcard Cabins in Big Bear. Had no issues finding the cabin and getting inside. Loved looking out the big window at the views of the pine trees and mountains. The cabin had all the essentials, including cooking utensils, pots/pans, bowls, plates, a/c, heater, etc. Only thing missing was a microwave. I brought my dog and they even had doggy treats for him. I also liked the fact that it wasn't totally secluded, which was nice because it felt safer being surrounded by other houses and cabins. We even had internet access and cell phone service while we were there. So that was a relief as well. There are walking trails surrounding the cabins and also some restaurants and stores. We had breakfast at Old Country Coffee Shop, which was only a 5 minute drive. Overall, it was a relaxing and peaceful stay. Would highly recommend and come back another time!

My stay at Getaway Big Bear in Running Springs was truly a magnificent escape from the city. I and team spent two nights in a cozy cabin that was both charming and well-designed to blend with nature.
Surrounded by beautiful pine trees, the setting provided such a serene and peaceful atmosphere. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and enjoying my morning coffee while watching the sun filter through the trees.
The cabin was equipped with all the essentials, and the large window next to the bed made it feel like I was right in the middle of the forest. The fire pit was a perfect touch for stargazing and keeping warm in the cool mountain air.
No signal here, disconnect for a while, sounds good. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway!

If you love the outdoors this is the place for you, this is my second time coming here and it's still as breathtaking as the first, service is just a text message away and every thing you need from cooking utensils to fire wood is ready for you to use when you arrive. They always have discounts available to use so it's very cost friendly. Several restaurants are less then 30 minutes away and have some of the best food I've had.

Me with my wife wanted to relax with a stunning view. I booked my Mountain View cabin in advance. |It was 3 hours driving and I get this view. Please see attached pictures from the website and actual view from the cabin I got. All Mountain View cabins were occupied so they tried to give me that "mountain" view.||I asked for refund. The guy said they will do it and also they will give me $45. I rented another airbnb with Mountain View and it really was Mountain View. As advertised. It’s amazing when you get what you ordered. Unfortunately getaway couldn’t provide what was is presented on their website.||It’s been a month I’m trying to get my money back. Is it something wrong with me? When I order salmon sushi, I expect to get salmon sushi, not shrimp sushi or something else.||So when I ordered Mountain View I expected to get Mountain View, not Forest views. Getaway couldn’t provide. They have very polite support. But it is not helpful.||I have no idea why they can’t return my money and forget about it. I didn’t use their cabins.|Instead of doing honest business they need to take my time and energy instead. Please return my $447.80||Thank you||Update: They refused to refund. I’ll have to go to customer protection or court.

I really just hate the customer service with postcard cabins. It makes it absolutely not worth rebooking and restaying with them. I had a death in my family and had to rebook and they kept charging me weird fees and then not explaining or providing a CLEAR breakdown of what those costs and fees were. It was exhausting and again not worth it overall. Really disappointed.
