I highly recommend Port Lions Lodge for your next fishing trip. Brett our guide was extremely knowledgeable of each location we fished each day. We caught our limit every species of fish nearly every day. The lodging and food are top shelf!! If you’re looking for a trip with your wife and kids or friends and associates this a first class trip.

We came here based on very satisfactory experience with prior ownership. Our boat captain John was exceptional and the meals were also great.

The owner Brett has a big chip on his shoulder, is arrogant and appears to be antisocial. My wife and I owned and operated a very successful business for many years and I would have loved having this guy as a competitor. As long as he is the owner and there I and the other three gentlemen I was with honestly wouldn’t return to Port Lions Lodge if the trip was free. The bedrooms are very small with no closets to hang clothes and the mattresses and pillows are very cheap and uncomfortable. Everyone was required to sleep on the same sheets for six nights and also to use the same towel and washcloth.

I just returned from my July 2023 fishing week at Port Lions Lodge with my son Brian and good friend Larry. This was my second trip to the lodge having gone in 2022 as well. 2023 was better than ever! Fantastic food prepared by the excellent and personable baker and chef, good weather, and our boat captain was wonderful. He worked hard, knew where to go for the different fish, was very friendly and I caught my largest fish ever, a 121 pound halibut! My son and I brought home 200 pounds of filleted, vacuum packed King Salmon, halibut, black bass, lingcod and pacific cod! The Lodge now has Star Link WIFI which is excellent! We couldn’t be happier and I’m going again next year!

I had wanted to fish in Alaska for much of my life. The opportunity to go was something I could not refuse. A trip with my uncle, who had been to Port Lions Lodge several times was arranged and did not disappoint. Brett and his team of cooks, captains and fish cleaners were the best hosts a person could ask for. Captains Marvin and Gray were excellent sailors and fishermen. They knew the spots to catch fish and were great when a fish was on the line. Giving tips during the landing of the fish. I cannot say enough good about the trip. I HIGHLY recommend Port Lions Lodge if you want a first class fishing trip with experienced guides and a staff of cooks that see that you do not go hungry. A word of advice, don't be on a diet when you go, the food is too good.

Where is the 10 star option?! Captain James and his team were fantastic! We visited port lions lodge in early September for DIY Sitka blacktail deer, silver salmon, and some impromptu bear viewing (and unexpected up close encounters). The staff were awesome- genuinely caring, friendly and just great to be around. The food was amazing. Marilyn served up Delicious meals and it was great to be welcomed back with the smell of dinner after a long day hunting and fishing!!! The accommodations were clean, neat, and stunningly located on ocean front property. The boats were in great condition, and the crew knew what they were doing. Captain Marvin was fantastic as well. My only complaint was that the silver salmon didn't cooperate as we'd have hoped. We took several nice bucks and some nice fish. Will never forget it and I hope to be back next time for some ducks!!!

My brother and I took both families w/kids 14,16,21(girl),23,25 and of course our wives were there and loved it. We took the whole lodge.The lodge is just like a comfortable home, simple but very functional. Boats are perfect for the type of fishing they do. It is like being in a National Geo movie while you are catching all the fish you could possibly want. Halibut, Rockfish, 3 kinds of Salmon, Octopus(7ft), ling cod, etc. Whales, Otters, Bald Eagles, Killer Whales are everywhere. The scenery from the water was as captivating as the fishing. Captain James runs a tight ship but is a pleasure to be around, have him play "Fish On" for you which brings good luck for sure. Capitan Marvin is the real deal Alaskan, born and raised right there and there is no nicer Captain on the seas. He does not talk much, but when he does its either real funny or informative.The fish cleaners do a great job packaging the catch each day and kitchen staff cooks the best breakfast, lunch and dinner. We shipped wine to the lodge directly from vineyard so we had incredible wine at each dinner. Take a lot of whites cause you eat a lots of yummy fish. Don't miss a trip to the hatchery for bear watching. We are headed back this summer.

Fishing at Port Lions feels like a family affair! We had a fantastic time and brought home plenty of fish. Brett, Marvin, and Tyler were amazing and I know we’ll all be talking about the salmon shark for the next year (or more). Definitely check out the lodge for any of your Alaskan hunting or fishing needs!!!

My buddy and I had an outstanding time with Captain James and his crew. We were able to experience Kodiak in all its wild glory. We had some great hunting, fishing and saw some of the famous Kodiak bears. The early season hunting was really fantastic and our take included a whopper. ||The staff really went over and above the call of duty to ensure that we had a great time. The food was great and despite all the hiking we did, I came back a little heavier than when I left.... okay..... thirds on the Seafood Lasagna could have been a contributing factor! ||We had a great time and look forward to coming back to sample some more of what the island and the Lodge has to offer!
