The staff here were extremely warm and welcoming! We ordered the pollo plate with rice and beans for the 2 of us, and it was the perfect amount. The food came out quickly and the pollo was so good!

The surrounding area was a little dicey, but Pop’s Chicken was inviting and very worthwhile! They had both indoor and outdoor seating, and had lively music playing outdoors. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area looking for an authentic and quality meal!

Fresh chicken off the grill !! Home made rice and beans like grandma used to make !! And best salsa in Yakima hands down ❤️ and all generous portions !!

Very disappointing. We ordered a whole chicken w/rice, beans, tortillas, salsa. Added sides of guacamole & pineapple/onion relish. The "whole chicken" consisted of 4 wings, 1 leg & 1/2 of a breast that was largely rib & back bones. It was all overcooked and dry (the seasoning was, however, nicely done) and in order to make it edible I added an entire can of chicken bone broth & heated slowly - afterward, it was edible, althoughcertainlynot delicious. Rice was flavorless, beans were pretty tasty, guacamole & salsa were both very watered down and lacking in flavor. "Pineapple" & onion relish had virtually no pineapple and tasted primarily of jalapeño and yellow (not sweet) onion. A repeat visit is doubtful, which is sad, because the photos and reviews on Google both looked very appetizing. 👎

Stepping into the restaurant it felt like I had entered a portal to Mexico. The food is authentic and the chicken itself is flavorful and moist. The chef and cashier were genuine, courteous and friendly. The chair and tables were clean and hygienic, the whole experience was very enjoyable.

Really good chicken. Better than El Pollo loco and I love that place. If you go, ask for the rompe calzon sauce! It’s ffiiirreeee! Good people too.

Fantastically seasoned fall off the bone chicken at a fair price. So happy that I stumbled upon Pop's when visiting Yakima today. Will be back to eat as soon as I visit Yakima again!
