We ate here yesterday for the first time and the food was delicious!!!! Very fresh, good portion size, affordable.. $25 for the two of us, and the Resturant and restrooms were extremely clean! 😃 and I don’t want to forget the staff was really nice as well, a young man named Alan helped us. If you haven’t done so yet, I highly recommend checking them out.

It’s been years since we have been down to Rocky Point to Lucas but this place delivered on that nostalgia with imported Coke from Mexico and delicious mesquite grilled chicken! It’s not fair to compare one to one with its Sonoran counterpart with its small town and beach ambiance but for south central Arizona it’s a fantastic alternative!

The chicken is cooked perfectly with a crunchy crispy outside with a soft, juicy and tender inside.

The prices are reasonable, the parking lot has ample parking. Even with a packed parking lot there are lots of large tables to sit and enjoy a meal in cool air conditioning. Seating great with nice wood slabs for seating many people and many smaller wood tables for smaller groups.

The hot sauce has a perfect kick to it and is a great addition. The flour tortillas come out warm, look to be homemade and taste great.

Bought for the first time too pricey for what you get , legs and wigs looked like they belong to chick's (not fully grown) . No meat . Taste not bad . Not worth $40.00 for 1 1/2 chicken . Red salsa was ok a little garlic taste to it . Green salsa not spicy , flour tortillas plenty of them . Plenty of plain cabbage and purple onion . Not going back .

The menu isn't large or complicated, but it doesn't need to be. The chicken is delightful and well priced. I got enough food for three people for just $25 and it's delicious! Plenty of seating, and it's a family operation. Well worth trying out!

So we frequent the Pollo Lucas in Rocky Pointe (Puerto Penasco). We just got notification of this new location on their instagram account in Coolidge, AZ!

So we made the 36 mile trip for date night! It was so good, kinda thought there might be a small let down because the Rocky Pointe location is so near and dear to me but there was 0 letdown.

This place was amazing, the staff was great and they had futbol on their TV's, love it!

We will definitely be back!

The pollo had good flavors for sure, a little on the dry side, it wasn't fresh off the asadero though. A whole pollo was $21, I thought that was on the high end. It came with some tortillas, salsa, limes and pickled onions. The green salsa was delish! The sides were all ala cart, so I tried the large container of Macaroni salad, a quart for $6...that was NOT GOOD, it was totally flavorless, not enough mayo, zero salt, tasted like just plain cooked pasta. My son agreed. Hopefully, that macaroni salad is better in the future...then I'll give Pollo Lucas in Cooltown another try.

We have been going to the one down in Rockypoint for many years and we were happy to find the same great taste we were used to at this location! Just missing the beach 😉
