Look no further if you want a peaceful few days, with no noise and the best hosts ever. Char and Rich made us feel very welcome and at home, with great breakfasts and recommendations for local restaurants and things to see. My wife and I stayed on the 2nd floor in Bernard's Room which is a large room with a comfortable bed and private deck to enjoy a view of the the lake and many varieties of birds. I highly recommend Pleasant Lake B&B and hope to come back in the future.

My wife and I took our first trip away from home since our son was born - We were so lucky to find this place. The bed was comfy, the room was cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. It was also our first B&B experience and we were very happy with our choice. Richard and Charlene are very hospitable and you feel very welcomed in their home. We will definitely visit again.

If you are in the mood for a beautiful, peaceful, getaway with a "Northwoods" feel, this is the place. Charlene and Richard are truly dedicated to making sure that their guests get the most out of their stay in the St. Croix valley, and as a guest in their clean 'n' comfy home, you are made to feel like you have come home to "Grandmother's house"! Truly, your every need will be filled...and probably BEFORE you make that need known!||My suite was spacious and meticuously clean. Weather didn't permit my using their "walk-out" to their beautiful property and lake, but I was most contented with staying inside. ||A delicious and healthy breakfast in front of a fire in the pot-bellied stove and friendly conversation, while beyond the huge windows a scene of nature that is absolutely breathtaking....what a delightful way to start a new day!

This is a very sweet B&B well worth the cost. They have 3 great rooms, however I'd suggest either Bernards room (upstairs, balcony, shower, whirlpool tub) or the basement suite which is nice and HUGE (whirlpool tub and shower). The third room is on the main floor and just off to the side of where the hosts watch TV. Charlene and Richard made us yummy breakfasts during our 3 night stay and our favorite was orange scones and egg bake. They also talked with us during breakfast and provided sights to see. Be sure to sak about the location 🙂 of the cookies and snacks. Pop/water are provided and your room gets cleaned daily which is a perk. The B&B is on a very quiet lake - we saw squirrels, wild turkeys, and tons of birds including humming birds. Would recommend this place.

Char and Rich were very accomodating to my needs and I am disabled and, wanted the downstairs suite but, it was a challenge due to stairs which I knew would be but, they gave me a deal because, it was the best option for me. Loved the Bed and Sheets, So much more comfortable than a hotel. I have a bad back, knee and hip and it is hard to sleep on my own bed. I had no problem with this one. I will be going out buying myself a mattress pad like this one and probably the pillows too. Whirlpool/Bath was great, easy for me to get in and out as there was a step. Despite what another couple thought, there were doors on the bathroom and to the bedroom so, I felt private. No one bothered me, it was quiet. Got to watch a squirrel outside my window that I don't get in a hotel or at home. Breakfast was delicious. View was wonderful. They gave us options of places to eat, free snacks and soda at our leisure. The only Con I have is that it was a bit chilly, not their fault as I had the heat on high and my friend came in and was hot so, it is probably just me. I am definitely coming back in the future.

Our 2nd floor room with private bath and outside balcony was very comfortable and spacious. Richard and Charlene are great hosts. Every breakfast was delicious and they went above and beyond in arranging a kayak trip.

I'm just going to do pros and cons...||PROS: Very friendly hostess and host, couldn't have been more pleasant, even gave us the "suite" for staying two nights for the price of a room which was less money, but booked.|| The bed was very comfortable, although the sheets were not quality sheets as in other B&B's we've stayed. || Large whirlpool tub in room.|| Was a very quiet place, with a nice water view and wildlife and bird viewing.||CONS: "Suite" was the downstairs of the home, and was very "damp", in fact the old and dirty carpet in the living area was so wet, we had to wear shoes or get wet feet. The bathroom area was down the hall from the bedroom, and didn't feel very private. The towels in both the bathroom and whirlpool were very old and cheap quality. Breakfast first day was good...we were the only guests and requested no sweet muffins, pancakes etc. and were served a very good egg bake (guess this is a pro). Second day however, almost didn't eat breakfast as it was sweet french toast, sweet syrupy bananas and some chocolate something muffins. No protein or healthy choices.
