Magnolia cabin was very nice; newly remodeled, tastefully decorated, and spotless. Our stay was very pleasant. We also toured the new boutique hotel from the same owner, which recently opened. Can't wait to book a stay in this colorful, artistic space.

During our visit, we enjoyed the spa next to the event center. My husband and I had the king and queen treatment, and it did not disappoint! Anna offered amazing spa services (body wrap, facial, massage) plus cocktails, pizza, and pumpkin cheesecake. We left feeling relaxed and pampered. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing weekend getaway after the holiday hustle. Our room at the new hotel was large and clean with a comfortable bed. We had the couples hot stone massage and it was wonderful I highly recommend. The staff was helpful and friendly everything you want in a spa weekend.

These people are frauds. There is nothing luxury about their "chalets". They charged us $2,200 for 6 nights at the beginning of February. They promised luxury and delivered a dump. The whole house stunk, no heat unless we messed with the breaker box and the heating units were extremely loud. I felt I couldn't hear if the smoke alarm went off while running the nasty, dirty bedroom heating unit. Stink bugs throughout upstairs, dingy and stained wash clothes and towels, no comforters or quilts on any bed, only scratchy throws, extremely small rooms, photos online are very different than reality. Bare minimum or below standard of everything.
We stayed at the Chestnut Chalet.

The kind of backlash this owner gives from giving honest true feedback just shows what kind of people you actually deal with here. Luxury is the furthest thing from this place. It’s basically an overpriced run down cabin. Between the breakers tripping, toilets clogging, stink bugs, the two creepy old workers guys that just walk around and make noise all day long (and by the way don’t even get the trash) staring, blocking the entrance to the place so you literally have to drive in nothing but mud, the so called jets in the tub being conveniently not working, to the pathetic throws that are given on the beds for comforters. This place is literally a scam. Not a person ever in sight at the luxurious spa, hair or nail place, lol. Just an absolute joke in my opinion for the price these people want to charge.

Ana was completely unprofessional. Prior to arriving, I scheduled an 80 minute couples massage where I was explicit that I wanted two massage therapists for (she mentioned that she would be able to give us a massage by going back and forth and I said no) and she later confirmed and assured me there would be two therapists. My fiancé and I arrived for our 9am massage at 8:45, filled out paperwork then were given a tour of the property. She said that they fired a therapist the day before but she would be able to give us a massage (I thought she was saying she was going to step in). She proceeded to go back and forth for the entire massage (leaving 5-10 minutes of one of us not being touched) Our massage began at 9:20 and went until 11:50 (we missed a reservation we made because of this). When the massage was over, I politely said that I was not happy with how the massges went and I would not be paying the $355 for the massage (I would gladly pay $250 for her time and services) she proceeded to call the sheriff on me and yell at me inappropriately in the parking lot. I ended up paying $300 for a bottom tier massage, insults and and overall unpleasant experience.

This place was great on every level. We spent two nights here while visiting Pipestem State Park. The cabin was in a perfect location to go back and forth to all the fun activities at the park which is literally acoss the road. The entire cabin was very clean with a well stocked kitchen and an amazing front porch with comfy rockers for morning coffee and fresh air anytime. The bathrooms were clean and it was nice to have a washer/dryer even though I wasn't planning on using one. But when the guys got back from fishing in the rain and their clothes were soaking wet the dryer came in very handy. The check-in process is super easy and the option to get an early check-in or late check-out for a small fee is a nice option that we were glad we utilized on our trip. I would highly recommend staying here and we are hoping to return in September.

The spa was okay. A little slim on ambience. Nothing like any spa visits I have had elsewhere. No robes, no lounges, no cucumber water. When you go in and wait on your appt, you are accosted by the manicurist talking so loudly from behind a wall. She never quit gabbing the whole time a waited for my appt. The woman who did my massage was very good. They add a mandatory 20% gratuity to the bill which to me defeats calling it a gratuity. It becomes a fee. The price of the massage was much higher than I am used to paying at much nicer spas/resorts. Oh well. I probably won't be back.
