Testimonial: "The rating for this restaurant is accurate. It's a great location off of Route 66 nearing Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. Took lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't busy so everything came out quickly. Our server was honestly incredible. He was so sweet, checked on us many times, and had an amazing attitude The food was really affordable and honestly really good for the price. The spaghetti sauce had so much flavor and the steak did as well. I wish we had room to try the pies because they looked great. Next time"

Stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night and it was pretty close to closing time. Service was super fast and pretty great. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner with a side of mashed potato with brown gravy and salad. Overall well cooked and good Portion size. My wife got the grilled chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. She had the white gravy which was pretty decent as well. Not sure what went into the two gravies but I liked them both. The potatoes imo could be a bit more creamy. Overall a nice place and parking was easy to find as well.

We visited based on google reviews. Our experience was fine. The hostess stand seems overwhelmed and a bit disorganized. However after we were sat, for how full it was we were blown away at our service and the efficiency of the kitchen! WOW! Sergio, our server gave us good recommendations and was friendly.

The caesar side salad was great! We were a bit disappointed by what seemed to be a pre-fab frozen country fried steak, but we’re delighted by the cherry apple peach pie á la mode. (Forgive the pic of the pie, we got so excited we dove in before we photographed it…it was prettier 🫣)

The 4.3 rating this place had when we went was pretty accurate. Staff and environment make you want to go back (5-star). Food was 3-star, saved in part by the fact that at least it wasn’t expensive. Overall, worth it for the authentic experience, as we got to show someone from another country what an old country diner, especially along route 66, was like.

The best dish of our 4 was the pulled pork sandwich (if you like BBQ on the sweet side), the worst was the normal burger (buns were straight up burnt, and the meat was dry, though at least it came with plenty of toppings) or the Texas burger with the cornbread and chili (the cornbread had a strong flour taste and texture); the steak and gravy was in the middle (but special mention for the homemade soup side and sweet potato fries)

Pies looked great, but the banana pie despite having some real banana slices, was a miss for all four of us, though we’re not pie people, so take that with a grain of salt.

The people and environment were so pleasant we would still go back, but would try other dishes.

The vegan burger was awesome. I was pleasantly surprised to find a few vegan items on the menu as well oat milk for my latte. A lot of times I’m concerned of traveling to little towns that I won’t have anything to eat or I’ll have to order a salad minus everything. Server was super kind and recommended the item. Cute spot!

Pine Country Restaurant in Williams, Arizona, is a true gem for anyone traveling Route 66 or visiting nearby attractions like the Grand Canyon. Located right in the heart of this charming small town, the restaurant exudes warmth and comfort with its rustic, country-inspired decor. Its menu, filled with classic American comfort food, is a hit with locals and travelers alike. I had the grilled salmon, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad, and each element of the meal was spot-on. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, while the mashed potatoes were deliciously smooth and seasoned just right. The Caesar salad added a fresh, crisp touch to the meal and was a fantastic way to round things out.

Pine Country’s location on Route 66 adds to its appeal, making it a nostalgic stop where you can savor hearty meals and then explore the quaint town of Williams. Known for its friendly service and an irresistible selection of pies, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Pine Country’s warm, welcoming ambiance and great food will make you feel right at home. A true slice of Americana that’s well worth the stop!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, we felt at home. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and we were able to enjoy an appetizer, main course, and dessert for just $55. The highlight of the meal was the enormous slice of German chocolate cream pie, which was so indulgent and rich that it had to be shared. I opted for the roast beef meal with a side of fries and corn, and every bite was bursting with flavor. We kicked off our meal with the indulgent queso and chips appetizer, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. Despite a 20-minute wait, the service was prompt and attentive, making the overall experience truly memorable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
