A quirky free museum where the Bumblebee Co. processed fish on the east side of Astoria off Hwy 101. Drive across the wooden bridge and the old processing plant is straight ahead. There is a little coffee shop and small museum shop. Don't forget to walk around back to watch the delightful sea lions.

I’d read about the “Coffee Girl” for breakfast in the old cannery building at the Fisherman’s Suites. We were wonderfully surprised by the collection of restaurants, shops and the old cannery museum here. We had a wonderful breakfast at Coffee Girl which also served brunch and lunch. There is a nice pub, a canvas shop and serveral other stores. Well worth the visit with a lovely view outside of the Columbia River.

Hidden Gem - check out OleBob’s seafood for some of the best live Dungeness crab, crab cake dough (make at home) and smoked salmon. Then check out the sea lions while enjoying some coffee from the adjacent coffee shop. To make the crab cakes, coat in Panko and toss onto a cast iron with liberal amount of butter in the oven at 375degF for ~20 min till they hit 165degF internal temp.

Toured the Tuna museum and walked pier. Some cool artifacts to see regarding the Columbia river and Pacific ocean fishing adventures. Entry is free. Only 4 stars due to the layout needs to he better organized. At the end of the pier is a great view of the Columbia river and ships awaiting to head up stream.

This is a nice lite slice of old Astoria and it’s fishing history.
Besides a great restaurant, hidden way in the back is Hanthorn’s Crab Company. Fresh cooked crab in the shell, fresh oysters, Salmon etc, and many other needs if you are looking for a fish market to make your own seafood feast.

This place was fun. What they had more seafood options but overall a fun place to visit. Didn't get to order food since it was not a menu we wanted. Coming here you think there would be seafood options out the wazoo but there wasn't so we went somewhere else to eat but we will definitely come back to try it.
