We’ve been coming up to Kernville 2-3 times a year and have stayed in other accommodations in the past. My only regret is not staying at Piazzas Pine Cone Inn sooner! |Loved our stay in Room 8, which was huge! Very clean and the beds are super comfy. Extra points for the lovely coffee set up in room with cookies and snacks in the lobby. Very nice touches! Also loved the nostalgia of the lounge and former restaurant area. What a time it just have been when it was open! Looking forward to booking another stay in the spring.

We loved this cozy motel. We were graciously given early check in due to our plans changing. This allowed us time to relax around the pool where there was plenty of seating. Also just steps from our ground level room was a nice patio table and chairs for our pre dinner cocktails. Restaurants were close by. We loved the town of Kernville as well. It was nice to stay in a non chain motel, while the rooms were not modern they fit the atmosphere of the motel. I’m so glad we stayed here.

We stumbled upon Pine cone inn coming from mt Whitney. This place is super charm and cute. The host was very friendly and check in was super easy. There are adorable neighborhood cats and kittens when we stayed!

Can’t wait to come back!||The manager called me in the week leading up to our stay to let us know there was a wild fire in the eastern Sierras and a projected heat wave in the area. I really appreciated the heads up, but we were not deterred. We camped up the Kern river then had two nights booked at the Pine Cone. ||We got to the hotel a little earlier than Check in, but everyone was so accommodating. Our room was huge! We were on the second floor overlooking the pool. There was a coffee maker in the room, cold water by the pool and the A/C kept the room perfectly cool. ||Just want to thank the staff here for making our stay so comfortable during a stressful time - by the time we left another wildfire was burning closer to Kernville. This place has so much character and charm. We can’t wait to book another stay.

Amazing motel, amazing town, amazing views!

Super relaxed place with friendly staff. Our room was clean and had everything needed including coffee maker and complimentary biscuits.

You can also walk to restaurants and bars as well as good coffee and breakfast spots.

What an amazing gem of a hotel with such friendly staff! Super clean and quaint. Walking distance to great restaurants and brewpub. Friendly to PCT hikers. And best of all, ukulele night on Tuesdays! So grateful for our wonderful stay!!

Easy and friendly check-in, beautiful room. We stayed in one of the recently updated ones. Spacious and new, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and couch area. Short walk to surrounding restaurants. Room snacks!

I live in Kernville, but recommended this place because it's very close to my home. My friend from Australia came to stay for 3 days and because she's allergic to my cats we spend a lot of time in the room there hanging out and touristing in town.

It's perfectly located for enjoying all the Kernville has to offer. We took a drive up to the high country and found a little bit of snow. We enjoyed all the eateries around.

The rooms are warm and rustic and have that lovely country feel. There was a beautiful swimming pool (thought it was too cold to take a dip), And there's a gorgeous room with lots of rich history of the Kern River Valley and Kernville itself.

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful to us. As many times as I have traveled and stayed in motels I have never experienced staff that friendly.

Needless to say, I highly recommend you staying here as I will be continuing to recommend it to my friends who come to visit our lovely forest.
