We had an absolutely amazing experience at Paso Robles Pastures! Sondra was incredible—so patient and fantastic with the kids. It was the first time the girls rode horses. They learned how to mount, steer, trot, and control the horses with confidence. The setting was beautiful, and everything was perfectly organized to make it fun and safe. This was such a memorable adventure. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, family-friendly experience!

Where do I start?

Our experience at Paso Robles Pastures was super fun and made for a memorable time! Our family often goes horse back riding on our local California road trip adventures and this particular experience was by far the best.

Often times we have observed our riding guides to have a somewhat tough, rugged demeanor, which is expected of cowboys and cowgirls in order to have a strong command over their horses (and the group they’re guiding!).

This time, our guide Kayla was so sweet and warm to both the kids and horses alike, and our time with her, although unexpected, really made for an enjoyable experience.

Our reservation inquiry over text was answered quickly, and we were accommodated on the same day (not sure if this is standard or unusual for this establishment).

I texted back and forth with Vanessa who provided clear directions and detailed payment information. Another positive note was that Paso Robles Pastures also offers riding opportunities for younger riders, 8 years and under. Often times our youngest child has to stay behind but this time he was able to enjoy a ride as well.

As far as professionalism, value, experience and communication, Paso Robles Pastures is a solid 5 stars! Thank you Kayla! Thank you Vanessa! We will be back!

We visited Paso Robles and stayed in an Air BNB that came with a horse corral. We found Paso Robles Pastures and Vanessa was so easy to communicate with and it was so easy to book. The day of, Kayla came with Ranger and Bella and they were so sweet. We have a 10, 8 and 7 year old and they were ecstatic to be able to ride them. We had a party of about 12 people and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time to have the kids and some adults ride and interact with them. Overall it was a great experience and we had a great time, I would definitely recommend them anytime!

Amazing experience. Gennis was so kind and knowledgeable. She checked on everyone making sure we were enjoying the ride and you can tell truly loves the horses. We would definitely go back!

We love this place!!! My friends and I have brought our kids here several times (and will keep coming back)! Vanessa took us on a safe & exciting wagon ride all around the ranch and even stopped up the hill to let the kids run around and explore, and us moms got pictures with a gorgeous view! All kids got a turn on Ruby, Ranger and a little pony plus we got to pet the foals. The horses were so gentle and relaxed around the babies. Vanessa and Shane are amazing with kids (and horses obviously). Made for some amazing memories & photos 🥰

We booked a 1 hour session with Paso Robles Pastures for a ride and horse experience for my daughter’s 7th birthday. She got to lead the horse, ride her, learned a few riding skills, brush her, and give her snacks. It was an AMAZING experience with our guide Sandy and we will ABSOLUTELY be back. We HIGHLY recommend booking a ride and/or lesson with Paso Robles Pastures!

I had an amazing horseback riding experience with friendly Jake! He made the ride fun, patiently taught us the basics, and took great care of us. We loved how he shared his knowledge of the region and his passion for everything cowboy and equestrian. The spot in Paso Robles was excellent for the ride. Going with my family of four was even better as he was incredibly helpful with the teens, and my boys had a fantastic time! Highly recommended!
