Ordered uber eats with parakeet cafe. The chicken noodle soup i ordered was around 13 dollars. And the portion size was so ridiculously small for how much im paying for and 24$ for a sandwich with a bun that breaks into pieces when i bite it and is extremely dry.

Came here because everything was pink and our aesthetic. The Mayan mocha was reallly good and not spicy. I got the truffle mushroom toast and really enjoyed it. The love of my life got the salmon and eggs and really enjoyed it.

Great experience, great grab n go breakfast options that are allergy friendly.

Pros:

Atmosphere is super cute, staff is very friendly, everything was ready very quickly

All of the drinks and food items we tried were delicious and gluten free. I recommend the blueberry muffin over the carrot.

Wellness tonics are great- tried the detox and glow, both were good, detox had more flavor

Coffee and matcha drinks were both good

There is indoor and outdoor seating to choose from

Cons:
None. This has been my favorite coffee shop experience in La Jolla. Highly recommend.

Solid brunch spot with a classic menu. Decent spot overall.

Omelette sandwich and eggs Benedict with salmon were excellent.
Black waffle was not crunchy. It was pretty soft. Not worth the price tag.
Pink lemonade was great with hints of cinnamon and other teas.
Cappuccino had an overly burnt flavor.

Overall an ok place.

What a cute coffee shop! I loved the vibe of this place. Coffee had a great flavor. It seems to get pretty busy but they have plenty of seating as long as the weather is good.
I give this place 5⭐️
Jerry (the piegon) only gives it 4⭐️ .. he’s not a fan of other birds. This is not the cafes fault. 😀🤣🫶

Oh, Parakeet Cafe, you adorable haven of all things scrumptious! 🐦💖 Our mystery picnic date led us to your charming little corner, and it was love at first sip! The lemonade was a refreshing dance on my taste buds, while the lattes sent me to creamy coffee paradise. I may have stolen my husband's latte (because, let's face it, he likes a little coffee with his sugar 😂☕), but both were a hit in my books!

The muffins—oh, the muffins! Gluten-free and yet so perfectly fluffy that they had us chirping with joy all afternoon. 🧁😁 And while I can’t recall the exact name of the salad, its deliciousness left a lasting impression—an orchestra of flavors that made us want to take a bow!

Parakeet Cafe, you quirky gem, your culinary wonders have captured our hearts and taste buds. Until we meet again for more delightful feasting and caffeine escapades! 🍋🥗❤️

Atmosphere is fine but generic in that west side LA / upper east side NY, alo/lulu brand type way. Food is good but a bit overpriced. Basically it's a good place for influencers...

With that said, I HAVE been a few times without issue, but last time there were major service issues. Three of us went, and the two people who ordered coffee drinks didn't get their drinks for over 45-60 minutes. We were all done with the food and then the drinks came as we were just about to leave (and ask to have them taken off the bill on our way out). They explained that they were understaffed, but did not offer to comp or discount. The kicker is that when we put the drinks in to-go cups, turned out it was they gave us the wrong drink.

If you're going to the run of the mill $7 latte place, that's one thing. But for the price you pay here, the expectation to get things out orderly (&/o to communicate when it isn't) is higher.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but we ordered two coffees—one was a honey cinnamon latte, and the other had mocha, cayenne, and other ingredients. Unfortunately, both tasted terrible, and we couldn’t drink more than a sip. We didn’t say anything because the barista was so kind, which is why I’m giving one star for the service and another for the vibe and aesthetic—though, honestly, that’s what tricked me into coming here in the first place.
