The location was optimal and the service was nearly perfect.
I had to wait several minutes in the lobby before I was attended and I felt like I was a bother.
However, when I got to my room and needed help, they were very attentive.
I also wish I didn’t need help. There were a few cosmetic issues like the blinds not having the wand to turn them closed. I loved the large windows to see the ocean but needed the option for privacy, especially as the neighbors balcony allowed full view of my room.
The bathroom is very small and could use some upgrade but the bed was very comfortable and loved the balcony and breakfast.

From the booking over the phone to the great staff who attended me during my stay I enjoyed my get away. Breakfast that was served was great and the bar was a good time and the outside area with the heaters and fire pit was dope. I will definitely book another stay.... the rooms are well kept and the balcony showing the beautiful beach was the cherry on top

We had a one bedroom suite overlooking the sea. Everything we needed was provided. The breakfasts were a pleasant surprise - there was copious choice - fruit, fruit juice, breads and bagels to toast, porridge, cereals, a make your own waffles machine and cooked breakfast to choose from or you could have it all! Wonderful. |To cap it all, we were there for Thanksgiving and they provided a complimentary dinner for guests with turkey, ham etc which was excellent, and a lovely touch for us who were thousands of miles from home. Staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. La Jolla village is a lovely place and I heartily recommend both the place and this hotel.

Ideally located in beautiful La Jolla Cove. We had a spacious partial ocean view one bedroom with a fireplace and cozy vibe. A hot breakfast buffet was included and was delicious. The rooftop was spectacular at sunset and there is a pretty patio and large firepit by the lobby and drinks available for purchase in the evenings. Complimentary sodas, water, coffee, fresh cookies available all the time. We will definitely be coming back here and book early to ensure an oceanfront room with fireplace. But we were very happy in room 204 (POV) which we booked last minute. Our very favorite place to stay in the area. Very quiet at night so we enjoyed the relaxation and rest we had been seeking. 10/10

My wife and I stayed here 12 years ago and we had an incredible time. With that in mind we booked a 2 night stay celebrating our anniversary. We couldn’t have been more disappointed. The room is in severe need of updating. The tub was not draining and the bedroom carpet was dirty, old and smells of mold. I emailed Pantai Inn but no one responded. Unless major changes are made we will not stay here again. For the price we expected much more.

Wow. We did not know what to expect when we booked our hotel stay at the Pantai Inn in La Jolla. We were pleasantly surprised! The one bedroom suite was great. The hotel grounds are extremely nice and relaxing with beach views and privacy. The third floor balcony was a great family area with the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla. The Continental breakfast was simple and perfect for our needs

The location is wonderful, regardless early morning or evening you step out then just see the ocean. That’s it. Room has some smell probably the detergents they use; the smell never went away during my 3 days stay. Also a lot of details that they put pretty enjoyable from sculpture to water fountains. So overall I would still rate five stars

A gem in La Jolla. We had an ocean view room. Charming and comfortable, but much smaller than our friends who had a one bedroom suite. Great breakfast, free water bottles, coffee, tea, and COOKIES! (Home made), laundry. Charming Thai decor. Great service.
