This is a GREAT place to stay. The staff so friendly and awesome - especially Brenda who works in dining/poolside. She was amazing and helpful during every day of our stay. She was present and just an awesome hire for this hotel. Sophia at the front desk was also especially helpful and great. I loved this hotel for its smaller and personal size and feel - not a giant faceless resort. Thank you Brenda for your excellent service and we will definitely be back!

Pacific Terrace is a great resort for families, but I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travelers seeking high-end luxury. The resort is located right on the beach, which is a major plus. There are plenty of free activities for families to enjoy. The swimming pool is quite small and fills up quickly, so it’s essential to arrive early in the morning if you want a good spot. The service from our poolside server, Eduardo was great. but there are definitely areas for improvement.||||I would like to give a special shout-out to Ashlyn from the front office staff. Her exceptional customer service made a big difference during my stay. Even though it’s not a five-star hotel, she went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met. I believe the manager, Meredith Pelto, should recognize Ashlyn for her outstanding service, as she was a key reason I chose to give a four-star review.||||On the other hand, I did have some issues. My room wasn’t ready until 4 PM, despite my request for an earlier check-in. Additionally, I found the front office staff, Justin and Jasleen, to be less than helpful and in need of more training in customer service. Lastly, while the concierge assured me of luxury transportation to and from the zoo and airport, I ended up with a Volvo instead of the promised Suburban or Escalade.||Overall the experience was ok

The Pacific Terrace was the perfect hotel. The suite was spacious enough for our family of 4. The view of the ocean from the balcony was gorgeous. The pool was warm and clean. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly. The area offered lots of activities and dining options. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The view, location, and accommodations make it great but the staff it was helps make this place amazing. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff were all incredible. Whether it was giving us a tip about yummy ice cream sandwiches at Baked Bear, running around looking for an extra helmet so we could use the complimentary bikes (kids and adults), leaving towel figurines on the bed each day after cleaning, night time chocolate drop offs at turn down, to taking our picture before we all went surfing, the staff is what make this place incredible. Great stay and can’t wait to come back!

We booked this hotel as a replacement to Torrey Pines at the last minute. We liked it was on the beach, but had low expectations based on the exterior appeal. We found the interior rooms to be very nicely appointed and the staff to be extremely professional and helpful. Very nice people at every function of the hotel. The breakfast and cocktails were very good as well. We will be back.

My daughter and I stayed here for a 3 night getaway while she had a week off from college. We come to San Diego often to see family and always try a different hotel each trip. We loved Pacific Terrace views and location! We'd definitely stay here again...
Due to the pool it's suitable for kids but we liked that it seemed to attract a more mature clientele. Walking distance to anything you'd want. Located right on board walk but a quieter end of the board walk so it was perfect!
The staff were wonderful too!
We were always able to find parking right next to hotel so never had to pay for hotel parking garage which was a $40 a night savings.

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting colleges in the area. It's proximity to the beach and distance between UCSD and SDSU drew us to the area, but the college discount sealed the deal. It was also an off time for travel so the room was extremely reasonable and completely worth the money. Views of the ocean from our room were fabulous. Our son surfed both afternoons so the immediate access to the beach was better than we could have imagined. The hotel is right off a street with lots of restaurants so we wandered on foot until we found something we liked and stopped for dinner and dessert. The heated pool was completely joyful to two teen boys and the huge towels in the room were a fabulous little touch that went a long way.

Not that they need more reviews but the hotel is great with an excellent staff. I didn't go to the cafe but the location has many restaurants in the vicinity. The garage is on site and so convenient for self park or valet. The beach access right in front of the hotel does require about 2 flights of stairs down to the beach. Hotel can correct me if I'm wrong! But views are great. I had a partial ocean view and was very pleased. Thank you. Great hotel and even better staff.
