We fell in love with The Original Romar House and Lilia, an amazing innkeeper. This reminded us so much of a Key West B&B as well as one we used to stay at many years ago on the Jersey Shore, the Sandy Hook Cottage. This is an older home full of charm, antiques and unique pieces. Expect a leisurely, relaxing time - not party city. There's plenty to do in the area for partying, but this place is special. It's a quiet oasis among the high rise condos, steps from the beach, and with a lovely pool. Breakfast is off-the-chart amazing - each morning you can expect a plate of mixed fruits, a savory and a sweet option as well. Some of our favorites were the eggs benedict, peach cobbler, fluffy scrambled eggs, an apple tarte and perfectly crispy bacon. The 4 pm wine/cheese each night is a great chance to get to know your fellow guests, and the back covered porch is a great meeting place rain or shine. We don't live close, but would make a special trip to come back again some day.

What a fantastic vacation! The beach access, swimming pool, hot tub, rooms, main bar area, breakfast, but most of all Lilia the innkeeper, were just perfect. We were a large group of 10 people but also met 2 other couples, so there was a lot going on. Lilia could not have been a better host to all of us. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we very much enjoyed eating together on the deck outside overlooking the ocean. The charcuterie board and wine each day was also a nice surprise. All rooms have their own full bathroom, and were all very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B to either couples or large groups, and we will be back, and will be bringing more with us!!! Thanks again Lilia!!!

What a fabulous experience! The Original Romar House just made our vacation. The inn is clean and well-maintained. The food was top-notch, and we appreciated how they took care of our dietary request. We stayed in the Parrott Cottage, and we loved having a kitchen and room to spread out. The kitchen is small but very well-appointed. It had everything we could need. The grounds were pretty, and it's private boardwalk to the beach was fantastic. We liked that it was on a relatively quiet part of the beach, without a ton of high-rises. Rae Ann and Lilia were the best hosts, and we will definitely be back.

This is a nice B & B with beach access! Better than a typical hotel room. We stayed in the Frank Brown International Songwriters room. The room size is a little on the small size but worked fine and the bathroom has decent space. A wonderful breakfast was served at 8:30 both days with delicious options for each day. The house was one of the first built in the area and fun. The honor bar was a nice option to have at the end of the day. Easy beach access just out past the pool. The location worked well between Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Wonderful host as well!

Amazing bed and breakfast! The owners and innkeepers are the best! They are super nice and very helpful. We stayed in the shrimp festival room and it was great. Very clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. There is plenty of room for things and the windows look toward the pool. The breakfast in the mornings is the best anywhere! Everything is homemade and is delicious! The menu changes every day and features a wide variety of options. The pool is clean and nice and the walk to the beach is short and easy on the boardwalk. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay on the beach in Orange Beach!

This is the third year my wife and I have visited here and it is just so nice and pleasant. There is easy beach access with a walkway only 2 minutes from the beach. There is a nice porch to just sit and relax, and there are some rocking chairs as well. There is a nice bar inside if you want a drink. There's also a wine and cheese hour at 5 PM. Lilia is a great innkeeper, she is so sociable and just an overall wonderful person, and a great chef for our breakfasts as well. The rooms are so clean, and we love the artwork as well. We have definitely made this a tradition and will be back next year.

Perfect B&B for a vacation at the beach. Nicely decorated individual rooms in that historic house. Amazing breakfast and free wine and cheese every day at 5pm. Lilia is such a nice and helpful person, you should definitely stay at her B&B Inn 🙂

WOW. just a fabulous time at The Original Romar House. This original and first cottage on Orange Beach built almost 100 years ago is the absolute BEST place to stay in Orange Beach. LILIA, the innkeeper, makes it feel like you are home immediately. SPOTLESSLY clean, so very comfortable, and the HUGE breakfasts she cooks from scratch each morning leave you full for the entire day. Delish! Our room ,the songwriters room, had a nice comfy bed and was cool even in 100 degree weather. The pool we lived in each day and the beach is steps away. The Gulf is lovely and clean and you can walk out quite far in shallow water before you hit a sandbar. There are so many excellent restaurants withun minutes drive or just get some blue crabs as takeout and sit on the back deck with a clear view of the Gulf. FOR SURE you must stay here when in the area. And make sure to say hi to our new friend Lilia
