Wonderful people, I went in with questions that didn't even really deal with their department but I knew they would probably know who I should contact, and they certainly did!

Always a joy to visit. I have gotten so much information and the amount of travel magazines and brochures is outstanding.
I have been here several times looking for particular ideas for a trip. Being honest I love to get the new year's brochures and always the mile by mile magazine and just look at the pictures.
Staff is always pleasant and willing to help you with whatever you are looking for as to information about hotels, restaurants and attractions.
The layout of the building is attractive and well lighted and can see the ocean.
My late mother and I were thru here in 2008 and even back then I was stopping at the chamber of commerce in all the towns we went and picked up all I could and mailed back to Wisconsin. When I got home it was fun to look thru and relive my trip.
When I moved to Newport last year one of my first stops was in this building and picked up what I wanted and needed.
To me the most important item I wanted was the mile by mile.
I even keep extras of brochures and the mile by mile magazine to give out to tourists to help them. When traveling within the state I always look for the local information at the check in area.
I also have mentioned to the staff at the motel/hotel that they should have the local information and travel brochures up front and always give a local map upon check in.
Highly recommend the chamber of commerce in all the states and Newport's is one of the better ones.

We had stopped at two gas stations and a drug store looking to buy an Oregon State map. No one had one, so we stopped here and picked one up for free. Grabbed a few tourist brochures while I was there, too. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Love all the information available, and it's all free. The staff was super helpful in giving ideas for restaurants, shopping, and fun activities in Newport (and even information on the rest of the coast). Definitely recommend stopping here on your way through Newport.

The lady we spoke with gave us so much valuable information! We ended up finding our new favorite pub thanks to her recommendation 😀 Newport Brewing if you're interested!

The lady behind the desk could barely acknowledge our presence. When we commented that so many places were closed on MonTues she agreed but did not have any suggestions for us. She did point to some brochures on the wall but this blonde haired lady with glasses sitting behind the desk did the city of Newport and area a disservice by being lacklustre in her information. For example did not mention Nye beach which we found delightful, the shops restaurant and art gallery and the beach which is so accessible. Also no mention of the lighthouses, really? Fortunately shop owners of Newport were very forthcoming with info. We have been to many info centres but this by far was the worst.
