My husband and I had an amazing stay at the yurts in the summer of 2024. It was such a unique setting. The views were nothing short of stunning, the yurts were so comfortable and cozy, the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. There were also many fun activities to participate in from kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling. We hiked to an old army bunker and also kayaked to a stunning waterfall. We highly recommend a stay here!

Our stay at the Orca Island cabins was magical, like a slice of paradise! The check-in process with meeting the boat was clear and easy. All of the employees we interacted with were knowledgable and friendly. The yurts were so comfortable and included everything we needed. We loved all the activities and took full advantage of kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, sitting by the fire, exploring the tide pools, and watching for wildlife. Loved every minute of our time there. It was unlike any other vacation experience!

I’ve had the privilege of staying at Orca Island Cabins multiple times, and each visit is nothing short of magical. Tucked away in Humpy Cove, just a scenic hour boat ride from Seward, this secluded paradise is the perfect escape for both Alaskans and visitors looking to immerse themselves in nature.

The property is stunningly beautiful and impeccably maintained, with cozy seaside yurts offering breathtaking ocean and mountain views. Each yurt is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, creating the ultimate retreat to unwind and disconnect. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, ensuring every stay is seamless and enjoyable.

One of the best parts about staying here is the endless list of outdoor activities! From kayaking, paddleboarding, tidepooling, and hiking to simply enjoying a quiet morning coffee with a view, there’s something for everyone. Campfires, stargazing, yoga, beach walks, fishing, wildlife spotting, and even snorkeling—every moment spent here feels like an adventure.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a weekend with girlfriends, or an unforgettable group experience, this is the dreamiest Alaskan retreat. Highly recommend!

Our experience here was so amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an elevated way to experience the beauty of Alaska! The experience from start to finish was top notch. The location truly feels like a luxury version of neverland, complete with incredible views, amazing accommodations and endless possibilities for adventures. Communication was impeccable from the company with detailed, easy to follow instructions for check in, what to bring, etc. The staff was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, friendly, professional and made you feel right at home. They really went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and had a great time. They had wonderful recommendations of how to spend your time once at the property including hiking, kayaks, etc. Having a staff member onsite 24/7 made us feel safe too. The yurts were clean, very comfortable, and even provided things you didn't know you'd want or need (like eye masks for the midnight sun and herbal tea for sipping while you enjoy the views!). Do yourself a favor and just book it. You will not regret it! We can't wait to be back!

Wow. This place is beautifully set up. The Stellar Jay yurt has a battery operated lantern. Bring a headlight! No internet which is absolutely fine- stay outside and enjoy the views. We saw a bear picking up lunch from the salmon river around the bend, by the waterfall, & that was incredible. We lit a fire and other guests joined us and made S'Mores. The boat ride to Orca Island was enjoyable. We went to Safeway and as a side note, you can take a "free shuttle" there. Look for the bus/shuttle stops in Seward or ask someone where these stops are. This free shuttle, is a service the town of Seward provides for all. Gage about 30 mins give or take when it comes back around. Pick up your Ice at J Dock. Staff is very helpful , they'll carry your luggage/bags onto the boat & into your Yurt. A Must Do, glamping place to visit

We had an AWESOME time at Orca Island. We had beautiful weather, amazing views and saw fun sea life. 🦦 🦭 , captain Simon was nice to look at as well (You're welcome ladies 😉)

Hiked up to the WWII bunker, kayaked to the water fall, saw SOOOO many salmon, fished and just soaked in the breathtaking views. It was great to disconnect for a few days. We stayed in the Oyster catcher yurt. It's totally worth it!! 2 days is perfect amount of time to stay. It's amazing!!

Danika Baldwin #girlinalaska planned our whole trip . She was amazing and recommended we come here.. yes it IS expensive to stay here BUT she said it is truly an amazing place and worth it and she was spot on!! Add this to your bucket list people... If you make a trip to Alaska, cheap out elsewhere.. but DO NOT skip out on this spot..

What can I say about Orca Island other than Amazing. From the moment that we arrived at the dock, we were met by friendly people, and everything was so well organized. Simon, our captain took us on a wonderful boat ride to the island pointing out wildlife as we went. Everybody was so helpful and made our stay perfect. You can’t beat the views. It’s so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We had one day of sun and one of rain, but even in the rain, orca island is a beautiful place to be. Being completely unplugged allowed us to sit by the fire pit and meet many really cool people from all over the country. Orca Island Cabins was definitely the highlight of our Alaskan vacation.
