Stopped here after hiking. When we got there the place have very few people in it, but it did fill up by the time we left. Waitress was good, food timing was very slow. Once the food finally got to us, it was delicious. My bf got the regular cheeseburger, looked juicy, perfectly cooked, and he said the flavor was very good. I got the chicken wrap, it was loaded perfectly, had good flavor, and the herb tortilla was a nice touch. Fries were okay, could've used a little more time in the fryer and more salt. Ive gotten the sweet potato waffle fries and the Ope Burger in the past which were very very good. If you are a ranch fanatic like me, their ranch will be disappointing. Wasnt a fan, but im also very picky on my ranch. Overall food was good, waitress was friendly, would definitely go back and try other things!

Family friendly with large dining area . Lots of tables and booths. Small sit at bar area. Was with a group of 6. We were sat immediately and server took drink orders upon sitting. The music playing was diverse and interesting. Menu was small but plenty of options. I ordered grilled chicken wrap with side of coleslaw. The kitchen was a semi open area so we could see our food being prepared. The server was very attentive too our requests and kept our waters topped off. The chicken wrap was very fresh with cherry tomatoes avocado and just the right amount of creamy sauce. Very good. The coleslaw was creamy with a vinger sourness very good and fresh. The quality of the food for cost was very fair and worth a stop. Highly recommend

We’ve enjoyed several meals from the Ope Haus. Everything they make from burgers, wings, fish fry, and take out sandwiches is all delicious! Staff are friendly, wait times aren’t bad, and we always have overall great experiences! Highly recommend if you are looking for a new place to try or are in the Barneveld area!

Went for St Patrick's Day and had the corned beef and cabbage. Lots of corned beef, I took some home for supper. Very nicely cooked and not dry and not tough beef.
Excellent service. First visit there and I will return to sample more of their food. Not fancy and not overpriced - just how I like it!

The name drew my daughter and me in on the way back to UW Platteville. We found some of the best cheese curds there. Good wings. It was nice and wide open. Friendly staff. Fun decor. It's a midwest thing!

Stopped in on a week night with my husband, and the food was delicious. The Cheese curds were good, and the batter was so light! This definitely tops the Grumpy Troll (in food & service), and was worth the short drive from Mt. Horeb. Best burgers in the area, and our new go to spot!
