Will not recommend. The room was okay, location is great, however the service was disastrous. During the stay, my friend was retrieving her gear from their Gondola locker when a metal rack fell from the top of the locker, striking her helmet and causing the rack to crash into pieces. The suddenness and force of the impact caused her considerable distress, and she is now experiencing mild discomfort in her neck area. We complained to the hotel through email but no response was given. I would’t recommend anyone to stay here for their safety.

The lodge itself is a great place for a vacation. Our room was very spacious, clean, and felt new—perfect for a relaxing stay.

However, the check-in experience was a bit frustrating. We had booked with Hyatt, but upon arrival, the lobby was closed, and there was no Hyatt staff available. When we got lost, we called the number provided and were directed to check in at a different location. It would have been much better if we had been notified of this change ahead of time, so we didn’t waste time searching.

Since it was the off-season, the resort felt very quiet, with most stores closed. I only saw one other person walking around during our stay.

The cool factor is all around. Gondola's at your doorstep, the Tahoe landscape, Mountain air, outdoor activities staring you in the face while staying in well anointed digs.

This is a romantic place if you want a couples get away. But - it is a great place for family vacation as well.

In short - I found this to be a bargain for the experience you get.

There aren't too many things to complain about. But, as I am giving an honest review - I'll share the only two I had. First: You have to go check in at the Vacation Club entrance - so we spent quite a bit of time looking for where to park and check in since the address is on the other side of the property from there. They should tell you that when you book. They didn't - so there was that. And speaking of parking - I like that you are protected with the secure garage parking, but it's tight for SUV's and trucks.

Also - check out is 10:00 AM and the clean up team is at the door at 10:00 AM to make sure you are ushered away. It is best to stay longer than just an overnight visit in order to truly grab the experience. And, probably not stay up too late the night before check out.

This is the place where I stay when visiting Tahoe. I highly recommend.

Greeted by very helpful reception ms Rizza upon arriving at almost 8pm. Agoda’s address could not lead us to collect the key but a quick call and ms Rizza guided us with a very welcoming smile. Amazing room with top-notch’s amenities in the room, super spacious one-bedroom villa. Sofa bed at separated area warrants extra privacy and allows for family bonding at the lounge without having to use the sofa there. Strong wifi at 350 mbps, fully equipped kitchen with high standards cookware, comfy beds. It’s real value for money in mid-May, the shoulder season. We stayed 2 nights and didn’t want to leave.

This unfavorable review is due to unscrupulous charges made by Hyatt. Qa||||The facility itself is top notch. Location above Gondola is superb; room itself is also superb. It's an excellent facility............. BUT.......||||This 3 nite stay was booked and paid for via Booking.com. The website stated that 11% tax and Resort Fee was included. During check in, I told the front desk that I had been double-charged for Resort Fees on two previous stays. The front desk assured me that I would not be charged for theResort Fees that was already charged by Booking.com for this stay . A few days after having checked out, I checked my credit card activity. ||||It showed that Hyatt had not only charged for the Resort Fees again, but an extra $894 was charged for the 3 nites on top of the full|| payment to Booking.com! ||||Hyatt is unscrupulous, or at best, sloppy. Buyers beware!

Absolutely gorgeous suites right on top of the gondola with express access to the front of the line and a full apartment with washer/dryer, huge kitchen, and lovely communal hangout area. Nice touches like per-unit WiFi, two large pullout couch beds, and a pair of humidifiers. Even a blender! Service was middling and a huge miss for a luxury property - check in instructions after hours were super unclear. WiFi password wasn't where they said it was going to be, and a call to resolve a smoke detector issue was never responded to even after a full day. The location is superb right in the village with lockers in the gondola area. Dedicated parking in a heated garage directly below.

Unit overall was good/great, BUT the mattresses were bricks (Unit 503). Had to use the pull out couch for the entire stay. Location is awesome as was the staff.

Avoid Northstar rental “service”! We booked a three bedroom condo at One Village Place through Northstar’s website, paying a very pretty penny for our stay. When we checked in, none of the four TVs in the condo were working (nor was the phone, though that was insignificant, as we have cell phones). Not having working TVs was a BIG deal to us, as this was during the World Cup soccer tournament, and we wanted to watch a number of the games. We immediately called the front desk at Northstar. They sent someone up that evening, but he was unable to get any of the TVs working. Someone came back the next day, but still not able to get any TVs working. The third day, still not working in the morning. Bottom line, we were unable to watch any of the World Cup soccer matches during our three night stay in what was advertised by Northstar’s website as a luxury condominium unit. When I complained, and asked for a partial refund of a few hundred dollars (on a $3,000+ charge), Northstar Resorts (through their rental “service” managers) told me to pound sand. I submitted a dispute through my credit card company, but Northstar Resorts continued to refuse to refund even a penny! I will never rent through Northstar Resorts again!
