This place was a great little gem. There were five of us and we all had a great breakfast! The gravy for the chicken, fried steak and biscuits and gravy was excellent. It's rare to find a great gravy. Usually it's too bland, but not here. Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely looking forward to having breakfast or lunch here again!

Best breakfast in North Lake Tahoe! We ate here 3 times with our family. Highly recommend their Belgian Waffle, French Toast, and Veggie Options. The wait was always worth it. BONUS: best videos about winter sports on their TV screen.

We stopped at this cafe for breakfast, the food was delicious. Kids loved the pancakes 🥞 and we loved the breakfast burrito and loaded potatoes.
They even customized the burrito to make it vegetarian for us.

I had a very pleasant experience at The Old Post Office Café. The restaurant has a nice and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was delicious, with generous portions that left us completely satisfied.

One of the highlights is the partial view of Lake Tahoe, which adds a lovely touch to the overall experience. Our server, Juan V., was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.

What a wonderful place to share a meal with family! Not a lot to offer in the winter months here, but we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem!! The crab cake Benedict was delicious and flavorful eggs were cooked perfectly. Also the chicken fried steak with gravy and potatoes was to die for we highly recommend!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Big delicious portions reminiscent of a New York diner - the French toast is incredible. Super friendly servers in a charming setting. The only thing lacking was espresso coffee - but the brew was still good. Really can’t beat the value for money.

This morning I met some friends for a quick bite before heading back to Reno to work. The server was quick to get me a menu and promptly took my order. Because I was in somewhat of a rush, I ordered a 1/2 order of Biscuits and Gravy. It was the perfect size and amount and not too much like biscuits and gravy can tend to be. Even though it was smothered in gravy, the biscuit was really good and had that homemade taste. The gravy was good and that of the usual gravy taste, but nothing to super rave about. It was nice to sit at the bar in the sun room and be able to watch cars pass by and people walking. As I left, I saw what looked to be a patio area with tables and a makeshift stage. I'm interested if they have live music and plan to call and find out.

Great breakfast here! Around 10.00 we went down and the place was very busy 😝we got 3 seats at the bar and order our food. Service time was a bit delayed but no concerns regarding the amount of guests... The atmosphere is really American 👍 Would be great to have lunch here, but we are traveling around the lake so we will miss it. ( Downside they have American Coffee only...no proper Espresso 🫣)
