If I could give The Old Clark Inn more than 5 stars I would. This charming, beautiful inn is hands down, the cleanest, most pristine place I have EVER stayed in. The rooms were clean, the beds super comfortable, and the outdoor areas beautiful. The hosts have an amazing way of making you feel comfortable, as if you are in your own home. There is a well stocked, self service kitchen full of snacks and drinks. A fun bar and restaurant are within walking distance. Highly recommend. You will come here as a paying guest and leave as a lifelong friend.

I was able to book a same day reservation to extend a ski holiday.|It was easy to book and pay online. An email came with my door code and information I needed. I also was able to charge my EV car a few blocks away at the old train station. It has access to the breakfast room with a frig for guests, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Beer $2 and soda $1 in living room with a fireplace. Very nice place to sit and warm up. The beds were cozy, room and bathroom were very clean. Geoffrey met me and is a super nice guy. I ate dinner at Alfredo's a block away and the old CJ Store is now the Rivertown Cafe which has live music. Old Clark Inn is a nice change from the sterile chain hotels. I love all the original features left in the house.

The Old Clark Inn gave us a true at awe experience.
Renovated, then refurnished and decorated in a stile so authentic that we felt like we were a part of the history.
In the same time our room and a dining room had an advanced radiative heating system that made you feel comfortable without overheating the room. There is also a large room for all to relax and socialize in front of the fire place. The bed was very comfortable. We spent 3 nights in the Inn and had a very good sleep.
The owners of the Inn were very friendly and responded quickly to any requests.
Another very important thing was that the Inn is exceptionally clean. No “air purifiers” anywhere, unlike in a typical hotel. The air inside the building gives you an impression of the same outside mountain air. Amazing!
One more thing, there is an Italian restaurant in a walking distance from the Inn. It’s highly rated!
The Inn is an outstanding place! We wholeheartedly recommend it!

My overnight experience was excellent. I was traveling on a motorcycle with friends. We occupied much of the hotel. The owners were gracious and very responsive on all fronts (I needed a wire to charge my helmet -- our host lent me hers !). My downstairs room and bathroom were warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (no eggs, no problem!) There are facilities out back to accommodate bikes, with a fire and chairs set up to enjoy the evening. The Fall colors in and around town were spectacular. A great experience.

Absolute awesome place to stay. Spent 4 days riding motorcycle through the area. Geoffrey and Elizabeth are great. Snacks/breakfast items in the Common area and reading a book next to the fireplace in Sitting room was fantastic. Also, a nice backyard with grill, and seating. Rooms are top notch and beds are very comfortable. For those who like to grill, do so, apparently we were one of the first to grill, and we grilled great meals for 3 nights of our stay.

Excellent location, comfortable, affordable place. Host was friendly and helpful. We stayed there two consecutive nights on bike trip. Small town, so everything is convenient to the hotel. Breakfast was basic, but no worse than most chain hotels.

I stayed here between my days at Snowshoe. It was a 35 minute drive and it was scenic. I’m glad i stayed here and saved the money. Small town vibes and everyone was so welcoming. Room was clean and smelled good. Sheets smelled fresh and clean. The family room was cute with the games and the TV. prices were good

Our first Airbnb was freezing cold when we walked in so we got room at this place. The old Clark inn it was amazing. The room service was excellent. It was super clean and it was all around one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had highly recommend. The only thing is it was expensive
