Tried this place today. Took my food home. Had the salmon plate, gyogi, and egg rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. They have an A rating. Clean and friendly environment. Reasonable prices. Very delicious golden Japanese curry with katsu chicken. Stoped in for a quick lunch and was very impressed with the quality. The cook even came out from the back to give us a couple waters. Thank you Okinawa BBQ!

Decided to try this place for the first time and I couldn’t be anymore pleased. Their spicy 🌶️ chicken fried rice was excellent! I will definitely be back soon. 🍻

If you're looking for an approachable spot to try onigiri (or other Japanese cuisine) for the first time, I would say this place is pretty beginner friendly. It's not like the pinnacle of quality ingredients of course, but some of the menu items will definitely hit the spot. It's much slower than fast food and the workers definitely seem to be stretched thin, so just keep that in mind.

I would recommend one of the more basic onigiri. The takoyaki is inconsistent in quality, so I'd avoid that one.

The food is really good. I like to come here when I want to eat out. Never have a problem here, but today the girl Melanie at the register was very rude. I was trying to be friendly but she just looked so mad to be there. I understand people can have bad days but to be rude to people who are trying to be nice is crazy. Her attitude was so nasty, it’s like she hated to be there. She overall lacked basic manners.

Chef Chunyu's food is outstanding! The gyudon is better than yoshinoya up here at least. Fried rice is top notch. Hard to differentiate kraage to katsu ( if you've tried those two traditional dishes). Price point is ok. I have gone out of my way to rep this restaurant. My colleagues have ordered here multiple times. Even my family spent a lot for food. As a routine patron, the least the management can do is treat you with respect and dignity.

The only problem is this immature cashier with a dirty nose ring! Those non-verbal cues (raising hands in dismay when asked about the discount card and all together non caring attitude) signifying
Burn out and dissatisfaction of her chosen career.
The ambiance went down due to this.

That's you SYD R. Love your job and be thankful for your repeat customers! Stop with the attitude and do what you're paid to do. Be a good employee.
