Everyone was great. It is a beautiful location and we had a great stay. We were here for the Food & Wine event and really enjoyed it. I would love to come back next year and do it all over again. The staff was very helpful and the food was great. Thanks for everything

We stayed at the Inn this week. It was a huge disappointment. Our room - a relatively standard room - was priced at nearly $1000 per night. We were looking forward to it, even though it was a cold, rainy evening. The room appeared fine. But, the heat in the room did not work - it only blew cold air - and the front desk did not seem surprised nor concerned at all - we slept and woke up in a cold room. The gas “fireplace” had electronic “coals” and the gas was turned so low that it could not be seen nor did it give off any heat - it was a waste of space. Since it was raining, they offed a cart to take us to the restaurant - it never came. Also, as an apparent cost saver, the only restaurant operating that evening had turned the heat off inside (cold and rainy night) and was serving food outside under heat lamps.
During checkout, I asked for a copy of the complete bill and found that they were attempting to charge an extra $1000 for 2 nights, although we were only there 1 night. I asked to see the manager who finally appeared after several requests. She said we “had gotten the wrong bill,” without explanation or apology. When I mentioned the heating issue, I got a casual “sorry about that.”
The Inn has a storied past and is a beautiful facility. But, for whatever reason (perhaps cost cutting?), it has some obvious infrastructure and management and “guest services” issues. It was nowhere near a first class (nor second class) facility during our stay. I would recommend against staying there until these problems are corrected.

A beautiful peaceful and relaxing stay. The room was immaculate and very comfortable.
The grounds are very nice to walk around.
The Oaks restaurant was delicious great service and excellent food. Sitting poolside the food was very good as well.
We stayed four days in January the weather was perfect, in the 70’s and sunny it was the perfect amount of time to restart for the new year.

A truly atmospheric place where time seems to stand still—just wow! Stunning nature, breathtaking views, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming staff with impeccably trained waiters. Everything is designed for your comfort and serenity. Enjoy cocktails by the outdoor fireplaces, surrounded by beautiful people and happy children. Everything about this place is simply perfect!

I helped renovate quite a few of the rooms. The new look is amazing. All the modern amenities. From iPads, to touchscreen fireplaces. Everything is very user friendly and conducive to a comfortable and fun stay. The views are amazing and the property is great for exploring and taking some beautiful pictures. The staff is very friendly, professional and courteous. The stay is definitely worth every penny
