It was a very cold 44°F in July and my buddy and I were soaked (and cold) to the core. We were riding our bikes thru several states, camping out as we went. It had been raining all day. But we had enough $$ for a couple nights in a motel. So we went this motel - but all rooms were sold out. The proprietor had mercy on us and let us stay in his place, which was attached to the motel. We were saved! We were doing laundry and kicking back when a mad-as-hxxx woman came in, demanding (with haste) we "get out! Get out of my house!". It turns out her husband (who ran the place) was a drunk and frequently let people in, much to her dismay. Our joy was turned to mourning. Grabbed our wet and soapy clothes out of the dryer and washer, respectively. With our tails between our legs we walk next door to what was then a gas station, and met a chill dude (I think his name was Dave). He said we could crash at the grassy area next to the gas station (in our tents). We ended up spending a few days hanging with Dave and some of his friends in town. Oh the mixed memories this hotel. BTW this happened in July 1975

I feel the owner has never spent a night in one of these rooms. Take a cue from the coachlight- put some $ into updating and making these rooms livable. Central casting could make a horror movie here without changing one thing.

My wife and I stayed here recently with our dog. As far as I know, this is the only place in town that will take a dog. ||||Our room was extremely dated and worn. Most of the furniture looks like it is original or was last replaced 40 yrs ago. There were water stains and deep scratches on most of the furniture. I would expect this furniture in a college apartment - not a motel. The headboard was broken. There was a TV and a phone in the room, but no clock. The toilet barely flushed - took 3 tries to get the TP down. The bathroom door contacted the floor heavily and was difficult to open and close.||||The room was relatively clean. The shower was quite clean. The sink and stool could have been a bit better. The corners and edges of the carpet could have been vacuumed more carefully. ||||There was no mattress pad on the bed. The bedding was very worn and faded. The bedspread appeared to be just a repurposed sheet.||||On work days, the noise of traffic headed out of town to Green Bay starts to pick up noticeably around 4:30 AM. ||||Overall - we would stay here again if we had to - only because they take dogs. This is not the type of place I would want to spend any significant time. This is a place to sleep and leave.

I only give 1 star because there is not a zero star option. It was filthy to the point of fear of catching something. I was only there because of being stuck in a storm and still did not stay. Worst lodging experience ever.

I left my swimming suit there and called back and of course the housekeepers said they hadn't seen it. It was the last place that I took it off rinsed it out and hung it over the shower curtain bar and left it there when I left the next morning but nobody's seen it . the gentleman who owns the place was trying to be very helpful but of course when you take something that doesn't belong to you then you've already said that oh I don't know where it is I never saw it it is never going to be returned. Because where I come from they call that stealing and I think you can lose your job that way. The housekeeper tried telling me if clothes are left behind they usually throw them away throw them away. the daughter of the owner had told me the day before that when they find clothes they bring them to the office or put them on the housekeeping cart it was a brand new swimming suit very cute very expensive goes to show you how people really are.

“Protein” stains on the 10 year old sheets. 1 inch thick super old pillows and comforter, gross. But the 19 inch color tv that only played one station and had no remote took my mind off sleeping in all my clothes and using my coat as a blanket because the bed was so nasty I would have rather been at a homeless shelter.

Curtains on window wouldn't close because there a/c unit was in the way. Therefore, anyone walking past could see right into the room. Bed linens were old and scratchy. Shampoo bottle cap left in the bottom of the shower which makes one wonder if the shower was properly cleaned. Electric cords left tangled sticking out under the desk were a trip hazard and can't be up to fire code. Bathroom door would've close all the way.
