We had a completely lovely experience staying one night here in December. We showed up just as the sun was setting and got to enjoy it on the large communal deck all to ourselves. The room was spotless The bed was super comfy and dealing with Vacassa worked out just fine for us. They even sent us a text message right after we moved in to check on the status of the room which was perfect

We loved this place! It has a zillion dollar view of the ocean and had great accommodations. We will definitely be back anytime we are near Tillamook.

First, the location is incredible. If you get a beach front room you have an awesome panoramic view of the coast. The town is also very nice with a couple of cute little restraunts. Both restruants are quite good too. There is not much to do here other than enjoy the company you brought with you, the beach, and some peace and quite.

However, I would suggest staying somewhere else in Oceanside if you like this area. This place is so gross my wife and are leaving a day early. We paid almost $2,000 to stay here but got the service and quality you'd expect from a seedy 1 star hotel. When staying at the beach it's nice to stay somewhere you can come back to and feel clean and this place is not it.

Our first night we found the bed had not been cleaned at all. Sand, hair, price tags from clothing. Yuck! What's worse is that when we contacted Vacasa's customer service they did nothing. They told us to look around for extra sheets and that was all they could do that night. So we had to sleep in a filthy bed our first night. We were told that the "local team" would be in contact the next day to replace the bedding. By noon the next day no one contacted us. Instead, I had to hunt down the cleaning staff to get them to do it. Still never heard anything from Vacasa.

As we continued to familiarize ourselves with the rental, we found that the kitchen utensils were not clean and covered in cooking oil, the microwave didn't work, spider webs and crusty food everywhere, and the most disgusting was the fish skin (?) in the bathroom. I spent about 40 minutes trying to clean the place myself since Vacasa didn't care enough to provide that. There is literal black grime, like you'd see on the streets of a big city, in the corners of the bathroom, on the wall trim, and window frames. The cabinet hardware is textured from the layers of food bits deposited by all the grubby hands that have touched them. Absolutley foul.

My wife and I both felt very dirty after all of this and went to take a shower. We wore our sandals as the shower was not clean either. Discolored and missing grout with grime & sand in the corners. The cherry on top was that after about 5 second the shower started filling up with water. The drain didn't work! So soon were were soaking in dirty soap water with all the bits of grime and sand in the corners floating around us.

We called Vacasa and were told someone would be in touch in the morning. And here I am, writing this review with no phone call or text from Vacassa. I texted their help line and they told me to use draino. πŸ™„ Incredible.

Don't ever book from Vacasa. Also, if you are thinking about using them to manage your short term rental, consider the damage your property will suffer under their care. This is an absolute garbage company and I look forward to hearing of their collapse in the coming months or years.

This place is simply magical with the views and the location. Sipping coffee watching the seals play in the surf. Rosanna cafe next door served up an amazing breakfast. Very clean, beds are super cozy. We will be back!

Sometimes it’s the BIG THINGS that make a difference about where you stay…..Chanook #8 at the Oceanside Inn delivered BIG TIME VIEWS! You can hardly take your eyes away from the windows! The location is perfect. We drove directly from the Portland Airport (with a stop for food in Tillamook). |The condo is set up beautifully: Fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (we used the king master) and the bed was VERY comfortable. We liked having two bathrooms; and nice showers in each of the updated baths. The place was obviously well maintained and clean. Easy access to the beach. We loved that Oceanside is off the beaten path and not a tourist center. Easy check-in. I rate Chanook #8 a 5* accommodation and the service from VACASA was above and beyond.

The truth about the location is its beautiful, although it in the middle of know where. Tillamook is about 14 miles away using some very sketchy roads. Your phone will not work there so make a map or you are sure get lost. The worst thing about these apartments is a 10 AM check out time. Which is ridiculous.

Dog friendly room was nice, didn't smell a lot of dog smell, except for one of the pillows. The bedroom was small and not a lot of space to move around, bed was a little mushy and sunken in the middle. Wish there was a heavier curtain in the bedroom, as the window was right by the compressor so you got a lot of light in the room at night from the outside lights. I'm pretty sure the compressor was broken because it flipped on very loudly by the bedroom every 15 minutes. Bring earplugs. The parking kind of sucked, we got blocked in for a couple hours when we were trying to go get dinner, so afterward we parked as close to the street. Parking is very narrow and small. Compact vehicles work best but unfortunately the people around us had a minivan and someone else had a large suburban which basically both took up two spaces each. The beach access had very steep stairs, watch out for the rocks at the bottom. Was nice having 1.5 bathrooms and the deck and view were spectacular. The beach was a lot busier than I expected. Check in was easy as there's a keypad. I'm glad we brought our own toilet paper, the ones supplied were very rough and tore easily. The place was decently stocked, although we did not use the kitchen except to make drinks and snack storage. I'd recommend this for young couples and adventurers with small furry pets. Not a lot of upscale food options nearby. Roseannas Cafe was phenomenal though, with great service. If the parking was a little better and they fixed the compressor, it would have been a lovely stay. I would of loved to have the window upon at night and hear the ocean like I normally do on our beach trips.

Next time get a room with a view, but great location, with the restaurant Roseanne Next door and then the surf shop/Cafe across the street for breakfast fast and coffee. Though we actually eat our bowl of cereal on the wonderful deck overlooking the beach. Seems the new way of checking in and out these days with codes rcvd via text. Which worked well even though never met anyone. Grateful for the free laundry machine/dryer as we are on coastal trip on Rte 101 and Rte 1 from north to south
