Oak Stone Craft Pizza and Bar - Winchester, Virginia

We stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening in early March while traveling in Virginia. I just looked in the map for restaurants near Winchester and the menu looked good. They do have more than pizza.

We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a bartender. We ordered a couple cocktails. Both were good. I recommend Tasha’s cranberry mule a it was very good. We had brussel sprouts, wings and pizza. We ended up taking some of the pizza to go. The food was good. The service was very good. Our bartender was friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere was laid back and easygoing. Parking was easy - they have a big lot. Prices were comparable to other similar places we have been. If I lived closer this might be a place I frequent often. We had an overall great experience.

Oak Stone is awesome! Their food is extremely well thought out, when it comes to flavor and texture, and works for dine-in or pick-up!

Every pizza I have had, thus far, has been really good - but I simply can't get enough of the HST! It's original, flavorful and... Well it's difficult not to eat it all in one sitting. 😅

Their mixed drinks are well made, also.

As a final golden star: I called them up from a special "30th birthday request" to spell 30 with one of the ingredients in a pizza I ordered - they happily obligated and I was extremely grateful.

Whether you are visiting Winchester, or live here, Oak Stone is a MUST.

Awesome wood fired pizza! Large pepperoni and excellent mushrooms. The croutons in the Caesar salad were delicious. I could have eaten a dozen of them.

Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating, and hanging from the ceiling were a nice collection of remote control airplanes.

Our server Todd was very personable, providing excellent service.

The food was incredible.

We stopped in from out of town. Our server had a medical emergency(very serious) and had to leave before putting our order in.

As a result, we ended up having to wait longer than usual for our food. The service was remarkably attentive despite the emergency shakeup.

We would absolutely wait that amount of time, even on a normal day. Phenomenal flavors in every dish.

The risotto balls and the pizza were 100% worth the wait.

Absolute best pizza we've had in ages. This place is an hour from us currently and we agreed we'd drive back just for the pizza.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere.

I highly recommend this spot to anyone that hasn't tried it yet, and even to anyone stopping in for the day.

We will absolutely be back!

This was a delicious experience!!! We would definitely eat here again. They have quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. We had the spinach and feta dip, garlic knots, pepperoni pizza and the bees knees pizza. So good! I will say- they have the best pizza sauce ( marinara ) I’ve had in a long time!!! A+
Our server was excellent. Even though the place was packed we still got our food promptly. Highly recommend.

Went for lunch after a morning of cherry picking at Marker-Miller Orchards today. Tried out Oak Stone and was delightfully pleased! Our server, Alexia was helpful and attentive. Her suggestion to try the salmon salad was spot on. Everything we tried tasted 'fresh'. The salmon salad, turkey BLT, margherita and bianco pizza was fantastic! Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The locals were pleasant and said it was one of their favorite places. We are already planning on returning!

This is a very reliable place to eat. The food and beverages are consistently good. The staff is friendly and the prices are good too. Great place to stop when traveling up and down the East Coast by car. We usually sit at the same table when we stop in and we try different dishes on the menu. Been there four times in the past three years and I have not been disappointed yet. There are dozens of things on the menu so I will be back to try a few more each year. Looking forward to stopping in again and trying a new item later this year. Yum.

2023 06 - Another visit, another great time. Good food, drinks and excellent service. Our server Lindsey was great. Love this place, officially a "highly recommend".

2023 11 - This place is great!!! Changing to 5 stars. Alex our server works very hard and deserves an extra day off!!

We had dinner for my husbands birthday last night and it was a delight!! We sat outside on the beautiful patio. Our server was amazing. We had 6 of us including an infant and toddler and they were very accommodating. I got the chicken parm and it was delicious! My stepdad raved about the pork chop and my hubby and niece loved the pizza! This isn’t our first visit and won’t be the last!
