Awesome, setting and beautiful area. The rooms are good enough , some old charm and some updated parts of our room , somewhat dated in other areas but for the price is excellent. You have to understand the price and area completely justify any updates that need to be done they are updating from what I understand. our bathroom was redone and nice. Shriva at the desk was awesome with great info about the area and walking Trails . They have coffee and breakfast bites in the morning, can't ask for much more. Great experience! Can't wait to go back!

I have stayed at this property two times. The first time was in the hotel portion, which was clean and very nice. I get their staff five stars!!!! The second time I stayed I rented out a cabin. Sherena Has five star customer service and deserves a raise she is awesome and so helpful!!! The property is so beautiful and I love all the little walking trails. I really enjoyed the cabin for privacy reasons and it was very cozy and Homie. Looking forward to the new pool remodel. This will be a secret spot I go to for many years to come thank you so much Sherena for all your help!! ❤️

I’m staying here right now and this place is an absolute mess. There were specs of poop on the walls around the toilet, the walls are covered head to toe in stains, there are, what look to be, bullet holes, there are many other holes in the walls, the sink didn’t drain, the floor wasn’t vacuumed, and there were toenails on it, and we found a Mountain Dew can turned into a pipe for weed on the floor under the bed. Oh yeah, and the blinds in the bathroom are all covered in black mold, there’s also more black mold around the edges of the windows in the main sleeping area. This is insane. The manager refuses to talk to us, citing that she is too busy cleaning rooms because they’re trying to check people in for the weekend. It’s not our fault your rooms aren’t ready. when a customer asks for the manager, the manager needs to show up. They obviously avoid these situations regularly. I tried to be nice about this but here we are. Look at this absolute filth.

I arrived one hour and 20 minutes before the stated time I would be able to check in, and I entered the office greeted the clerk and asked if there would be a chance I could checked in early. I was quickly met with the answer explaining that there would be a $25 dollar fee for an early check-in. I understand policy but couldn't justify paying over a third the total price of the room for the night, so that I could be in the room an hour earlier. I figured an hour isnt that long to just hang out and catch up on emails. The day was cold and wet since a storm had developed. An early check in would have been nice. As I had arrived on foot and utilizing the public transit availible in the county, I had no car or means of shelter to escape the wet winter weather. I exited the lobby and looked around for a few minutestryingg to find a place out of the elements where I could pass the next hour of my life. Quickly I realized, standing outside in the cold winter rain for an hour was not going to be a comfortable experience. I reentered the lobby and asked if it would be ok for me to sit in the lobby and wait out my hour until I could get checked in. Upon asking the clerk this and scanning the room for a nice place to take a seat, I was quickly met with the response, "I dont think the manager would like that." I was completely cought off guard by her responce. As I stood there in disbelief of what she just said. I looked around the easily 20-foot by 30-foot lobby to realize there were no seating arrangements in the lobby. There are lots of spots that could easily accommodate a chair or love seat, yet all I see are empty floors and walls barren of comfort. As I turned buttoning my jacked preparing to embrace the cold, I thought to myself how uninviting and cold the lobby and staff were to me. I just could not understand how odd and uncaring this place was to have no seating in the lobby to relax and then cherry on top, tell me I would not be invited or even allowed to stay in the lobby while I was trying to escape the inclement weather while I waited out the time needed for check in. The hotel seemed empty and I could not imagine how the hotel would be so negatively effected by waiving that 25 dollar early check in fee and allow a patron the chance to escape the elements. Instead even worse I was being pushed out side into the cold as I was not welcome to stand inside the lobby, which was atleast warm. Unlike the feelings I was getting from the staff and portrayed policy of the hotel. My stay did not improve. My room was located very near Highway 49, and I had to listen to vehicles traveling along the wet highway all night long.

The room was very dismal and cold upon entering.

I decided to take a hot shower trying to help warm myself up, only to find the water pressure from the shower head was barely enough to push the water up the plumbing and out of the shower head. Surprisingly the water did get hot but i could only feel the water where it was able to drip far enough from the wall to land on me.

I was really disappointed in my stay. I was excited to stay so near Nevada City. Maybe I had high hopes? Maybe the Norther Queens Inn is no where near fit for a queen. Let alone a commoner like me

Very uninviting lobby and staff. Pretty much had to take a standing wash clothes shower as the water barely escaped the wall. Where I still was unable to find relief and comfort after the very cold experience that took place earlier.

This place is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Mold on the walls, holes in the walls, water damage, missing fire alarm, smoke outside the doors at all hours, random pills found on the ground, extremely thin walls...

It is cheap and the exterior is very lovely tucked in a pine forest, but wow the rooms themselves are bad.

Also, being super intense about the parking situation is weird when, at the most crowded, the lot was only 20% full.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room is nice for a cheap overnight rate. Yeah couple stains on the wall/carpet but nothing crazy. Bedding and bathroom were very clean. Surrounding area is very beautiful, nice to take a walk.

We broke down on I80 and got towed here for the night at 3 am. We had keys to the room before the driver had our vehicle off the truck. I'd love to come back under better conditions, but the place is lovely.

The facilities are a bit dated, it's not perfect. But it was comfortable, it was clean. It was inexpensive, We had a small cabin. It was great. Pretty surroundings. I liked this place. Small kitchen. Even a BBQ. Again, this place is great. No issues for us.
