This is a nice do-it-yourself property that if things were up and running properly it would be very nice. (The clubhouse, pool, courts and gameroom, fitness center was open would be amazing. If it was stuff like a normal Resort it would have been way way better cuz the staff could have given us instructions on where to go and what to do and where to eat and all that but we figured it out

Overall it’s pretty nice so I’ll give it a 4/5

Location: It’s quite close to the arrowhead lake village, you can take a walk and had food there and then come to check in. Also there’s a grocery store like 5 mins drive away ( there’s an EV charger and ATM too )! But notice that you’ll need to enter the code to open the gate to drive in !

Room: It’s clean and you got almost everything you need ! The bed and blanket are soft and cozy, the kitchen is equipped with all the utensils, kitchenware like pots, fry pans, etc. Also there’s free coffee and tea !The small living room area is nice too, there’s a cute fireplace to warm you up, nice sofa and TV with Netflix.
As for the bathroom, it’s clean too, they provided many towels, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. Well somehow we can’t get hot water in the bathtub (for the sink it works fine) but it’s not a big problem for us this time.

Service: We’re international travelers so we didn’t have US phone number before we arrived in US, not sure if it’s because of this so we didn’t get the instructions to check in in advance. We arrived at the gate and don’t know how to open. We call the staff and she’s nice and send us the instructions right away 🙂 ! The check in process is contactless, so remember to have the instructions ready before you enter !

Oh and I personally love the balcony a lot, there’s view in the morning from the balcony is so beautiful, the sun and the forest, so wonderful!

The resort location at Lake Arrowhead was excellent--about a 10 min drive from the lake itself and all the stores and restaurants. It was quiet and secluded, with attractive and heavily wooded grounds. Our unit was spacious, well appointed and was clean overall. However, there was much that could have been better. The "contactless" check-in process was confusing and some greater clarity about that would have been helpful (another couple arriving shortly after us had the same experience). We saw virtually no staff onsite during the entire week's stay. A/C would also have been nice (it was very warm during our stay and we were not advised about the lack of A/C until only a day or two before arrival), and two of the three sets of louvered blinds in the bedroom windows were not in proper working order (they were aged and really needed to be replaced). The resort's clubhouse, which included other amenities, such as pool, gym, tennis courts, etc, were all unavailable with no explanation other than, "due to unforeseen circumstances." The outsides of the units were in need of repair to varying degrees; peeling paint, rotting wood trim, broken plaster and cement--especially on the back patio/deck. And there was some sort of varnish/coating on the dining and living room coffee tables that caused virtually everything to stick to the tables, and no amount of soap and water would change that. It created a very "unclean" feeling on these surfaces.

Absolutely absurd. Spent all day flying with a toddler. Arrived and THERE ARE NO SIGNS. Trying to find the "hotel" at night among the maze of private residences is brutal. After a half hour we called. She was just as lost! If that wasn't enough, they gave us a room number that didnt exist.

Rooms are old and smell bad. Stains everywhere, paint peeling, place is worn out. They leave the pilot light for the 80s fireplace on so it was 90 degrees in 90 daytime temps. Just an all around NO WAY.

Edit: POOL, HOT TUB, SAUNA, COURTS, BILLIARD, PING PONG are CLOSED AND LOCKED. There is no WiFi.

Edit 2: As far as I'm concerned we are due at the very least, a partial refund. I have never been in a worse place. Stains EVERYWHERE with a 3 YEAR OLD! Who would want to subject their child to something like this?

Absolutely outstanding stay! Super comfortable, spacious and so peaceful! We loved the view from the patio and having the complete kitchen was such a bonus! One of the best values for the price in Southern California! Highly Recommended!!!

Quiet, pretty location, however the rooms are in disrepair. I'm getting married and we booked 3 rooms for family to stay. The pull out couches in two of the rooms were terribly stained and disgusting. When we called and said they needed to be replaced tonight we reached an answering service and they hung up on us. We had to move mattresses from one room to another to solve the problem. There was trash left and not cleaned out of one of the rooms under and in the couch. In another room it looks like the roof is leaking as the paint on the beam is bubbled up and scotch tape was used on the corner protector to keep it attached. The appliances are very outdated. There are mixers and can openers from the 70s or so it appears. We will try calling about the mattresses again tomorrow during the day.

Check in and out through text message was very convenient. The area was quiet, not many other renters. We had neighbors during the weekend that were arguing loud and slamming doors. Room is very spacious, kitchen is equipped with electric appliances. Furniture needs updating. Fireplace was cozy and romantic on the cold nights. Nice view from private balcony, we saw a fox! ||Pool and other amenities were closed for the season. Face of the building need some repairs, some deck railings rotten and falling apart.
