We had the distinct pleasure of staying at this B&B. We loved every minute of our stay. The room was very clean and peaceful. The whole property had amazing views of the Alaskan range, Denali in particular. We even got to see the Northern Lights! They were shimmering over the lake, and I swear it was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. The breakfast was absolutely yummy - pancakes made from some special recipe. Jeff and Janet were superb hosts, and having lived in Alaska for so many years they were excellent at helping us with ideas of things to do throughout the region. We were made to feel right at home, and loved our stay. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at the North Country B&B. The room was clean and comfortable and a very reasonable price. Very good breakfast. The views from the dock were absolutely spectacular! We were fortunate enough to have a clear morning the day we left - really enjoyed the view. We also enjoyed meeting Jeff - Jeff's a wealth of knowledge, skills and experiences.

Had a 2 night stay end of July - wished it was longer. Avoiding the busy Talkeetna, we were glad we stayed at Northcountry. Not far off the main road, but enough to draw you in to the quiet lakeside views of (nearly but not quite due to cloud) Denali. Jeff was a great host who tells it like it is. Breakfast was good tasty home cooked and shared round a table overlooking the lake. With Scandinavian influences plenty of good strong coffee to start off the day. Got good recommendations for food and places to visit - only limited by short length of our visit. As a first time visitor to Alaska, left Northcountry having a better idea of Alaskan life and ecology. Need to re visit and catch Denali in all its glory !

We were referred to North Country when some of our original plans fell through. It turned out to be a great turn of events as this place is an extraordinary find. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable, the view over the lake is incredible, and Jeff was a wonderful host. We got settled in and Jeff was able to point us to some local streams to fly fish. Just before dark we did some fly-fishing from the dock and found some aggressive Pike. In the morning he prepared some of the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had with reindeer sausage. What a great find, wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I spent one night at this CLEAN and neat bed and breakfast. Jeff (retired military) was a gracious host and allowed us to use his canoe to paddle around the beautiful lake. The mountains in the background were beautiful. Jeff even entertained us with his guitar skills and the stay was just perfect! He was an interesting conversationalist, and we wished we could have stayed longer. This is the place to stay if you want off the beaten path and enjoy a clean restful overnight stay. We made a quick trip over to Talkeetna for dinner and to look at the local touristy shops. If you stay be sure and thank Jeff for his continued service to our country! It makes us sleep well at night.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. We had the Denali Suite with a huge King bed & a nice jacuzzi tub. Although the room doesn't have a tv, we found ourselves too busy with all the things there are to do in the area to care about that. It's located just a 30 minute drive from Talkeetna that has a bunch of great restaurants and shops to explore. Denali National Park is a 2 hour drive up the Parks Highway and is an absolutely gorgeous drive. (Watch for moose crossing the road, especially late at night). We found this Bed and Breakfast to be a perfect central location for all the great activities located within central Alaska. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay!
