Nonna was an absolute find! The food was incredible, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was super inviting. Everything we ordered was so delicious and the portions were huge! The menu was also huge and it was so hard to decide what to get. Everything was piping hot and flavorful. The decor inside was very Italian so you’ll feel right at home. I’ve heard it’s a popular spot among locals and I totally get why.

The food was a bit heavy & pricey for me- but man, still one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a bit- really attentive & kind service, strong almost family like atmosphere- from the accordion player, to Papa, to the lovely servers, to the blend of family's in booths, to young couples at the bars, and the glimpse of the line cooks banging away- this place is a smorgasbord of sensations. My advice? Stick to the normal plates & avoid the specials. It will cut your bill in half and still give you all the pleasure of what the place is about. A genuine little restaurant, with surprising quality for how quickly & how many people they serve. Thanks for the good experience.

Great and personable servers. Very large servings - so plan on left-overs (or split a pasta dish). Delicious! We had Rigatoni Bolognese and Spaghetti Con Polpette Nonna Luisa. One of the servers suggested we save room for dessert, but we were too full, and still left with left-overs.

We called ahead for reservations. The owner took the reservation. This authentic
Italian Ristorante Nonna Luisa is an amazing experience and epicurean delight. The owner seated us to a cloth topped table then lit the candlestick. He came back with antipasto and hot bread with a bon appetito. Note, the olive oil and exceptional balsamic vinegar is at each table. The atmosphere is quaint with Italian inspired influences in the decor. The server came for drinks and then a daily hand written menu on a white marker board with an amazing repertoire of entrees. There's a basic menu at each seat however, the server explains each dish with enthusiasm as they should. We ordered four different entrees. The presentation, highest quality and perfect paring of sauce and entrees were Michelin level. The food is absolutely amazing. The owner comes by to assure everything is acceptable and it was. He even sang happy birthday to our dear friend as the dessert arrived as a over the top production in Italian by an Italian. We were overwhelmed and so pleased we came to Nonna Luisa Ristorante! I highly recommend you treat yourself and friends or family to a memorable night of the best Italian Ristorante. Bon appetito

Celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary last night and I am not exaggerating when I say we had the most amazing time!! The ambiance was perfect, candles on every table, a lovely woman playing an accordion, it was a full restaurant and yet somehow all the voices weren't overwhelming. Our waitress was a gem (I wish I could remember her name), Poppa was the kindest man and shared the best place to get olive oil with me. The bread service just kept coming and it was always hot and fresh. All the food was fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back!! Don't skip the bruschetta or dessert!!

I can’t write a 5 star review fast enough. This place is so excellent! We sat at the bar which was wonderful. The food is delicious, servers are so kind & knowledgeable, and it’s authentic Italian. They have a huge list of specials which they change daily. The portions are huge, we left with leftovers! Extensive wine list 🍷we will be back, as soon as possible!

I had been craving a seafood pasta for days. Went to another italian establishment for lunch takeout (lun fet di mare)and was extremely disappointed 😞. So that evening we went here to try and remedy.

Omg, they did not disappoint! They were PACKED so I would highly encourage reservations!

Ordered the calamari also, and I fell for that sauce over the pasta I originally came for. I loved the texture and weight of the pasta, the flavors! I wouldn't normally spend that much on pasta, but it was worth every bite.

Service was super friendly and attentive. Will be back again

Old fashioned friendly service, greeted at the door by the owner. Come to find out it was Rafe Calise that owned La Buca in Pioneer Square many years ago. I had lots of good meals there once upon a time. It was a pleasant walk back in time for me and a wonderful experience to see him again. The food and service here at Nonna Luisa were exceptional, can't wait to return again!
