This campground is awful. Sites were very confusing and not very large and very uneven, nothing to do, nobody to talk to when you go there. That is the worst experience ever and DO NOT recommend. I ended up stay at Bear mountain cabins and campground. They thankfully had full hookup and and Large and beautiful sites.

Loved the Antique Shop next to this campground! The campground not crowded and the area is very nice. Not far at all from the main road. Great if you are traveling through or not wanting a big crowd. Still close to Fayetteville and surrounding sites/adventures; but a nice quiet spot that's easy to pull an RV into. It's a win. (Beautiful quilts at the Antique store.)

Be very careful making a reservation here. Apparently, they don't realize pulling your house down the interstate comes with many problems as they are completely unable to budge from the refund policy. I made a reservation just yesterday, but today they won't make any sort of exception. Been camping for decades and never had anyone this strict. I know it is their policy but just a warning to others.

This was the only campground open during the time we wanted to take our RV out. We booked for a specific week and due to snow had to cancel. They were happy to refund out deposit but we ask them to just put it towards the next week and we would stay then. Unaware of what the campground looked like we drove in and found a spot. Full hookups (water, sewer, elect) which was very nice. The spots are very close together, some full time RV'rs there as well. Since we were during the week, they we took up two spots using the campfire ring next to our spot. It's a little noisy since it is right off of Route 19. The 3 ponds were great to fish in, we caught a good many although it is catch and release. The campground is about a mile from the New River Gorge Bridge and 3 miles from shopping and restaurants. Sally, the owner, was super nice and friendly and made the stay worth the trip. Overall, we would stay again.

They have a lot of work to do to make it worth what they charge...Sites are not level, mostly dirt and grass. Water lines are bare pex lines, even in the dirty shower... on-site sewer treatment plant, do drink the water.. we could have stayed at the KOA or another resort for less. Only positive is the location is close to the new river gorge national park. But they're not the only ones...I don't think we'll be returning any time soon...

Not a good place to tent camp. Our site was under a shelter right next to the 4 lane highway. Very noisy all day and night. Could still hear the traffic with ear plugs in. Long term campers there. Appears people live there permanenty. Large utility truck left at 430am and woke us up every day. Shower house was gross and smelled of mildew. Hair all over the sinks. Everything in the shower house needs a good thorough cleaning. We showered elsewhere as it was too gross to use. Location is good, but would not stay there again.

This place was absolutely horrible. Overgrown, bath house is destroyed, no office. I thought I was at the wrong place. There were four. trailers here, one without a door. No way in the world I would stay here. Left immediately.

To our guide & hostess...Thank you Sally for always answering the phone🤗
We were soooo lost. your patience and kindness was much needed. We went through the NEW RIVER GORGE "ALPINE CLUB" with a 2500 Dodge Ram towing a 30 foot toyhauler..(being nothing over 20ft was permitted)...oh my goodness it was a nightmare..lol..needless to say the looks from the people enjoying their cookouts was disbelief!!.. guy said, DUDE didn't you see the sign..lol...it was a narrowing and a harrowing loop.....enroute to that episode we went backroading on MILROY GROSE RD THAT TURNED INTO OPPOSOM CREEK..if you know the area we were definitely standing out as lost souls....we were sooo close initially....definitely needed a cold one after all that....Backroads in WEST VIRGINIA..gotta love it💛💙....added plus..we love a dark campground so we got to watch the PERSEID meteor shower#campinglife
