Food had maggots. Didn’t know until after I pretty much ate everything.

I just moved to the area and was looking where to find Chinese food and I was directed here and my God am I thrilled I found them. I ordered take out, 5 different entrƩes, all of them delicious and packed to the brim. Some places don't fill the take out boxes, these guys PACK it in! I was able to feed 2 grown men, a picky 2 year old (who loved the food!) and myself with plenty of left overs for a very reasonable price. The lady even threw in a rice I said I didn't need, which I thought was thoughtful. I've definitely found my go to Chinese food restaurant!

Wonton soup was less than average in flavor. The meat stuffed dumplings were tough and chewy. To add to my disappointment, the 2 bags of hard noodles that come with quart size soup were not as expected. Each bag had about 15 crunchy noodles - not the normal overstuffed bag of noodles we have come to expect with wonton soup. I ate a few bites of my soup then threw nearly the whole quart of wonton soup in the trash. Then to top it off, my fortune cookie was an empty shell - nothing inside to reveal my fortune. Service was rated for higher because it was fast and unexpectedly brought it to me while I was waiting in the car. It was my first visit to New China restaurant so I have no menu items to recommend. I will likely not eat here again. Note: the overall score at a glance when I posted my ratings was significantly higher than I would have expected when I rated food -2 stars; service -4 stars; atmosphere 3-stars. Now I see how ratings can be misleading at a glance.

It's just a small walk in area and the other dining room area is usually lights off or where the workers eat and their kids play. The staff is friendly and they always have the food ready on time. It is also always hot and fresh. They do have an updated menu with lower prices than the online menu. When you place an order make sure to ask what comes with it because everything is updated and may not be the same as on their online menu.

After explaining exactly what we wanted 3 times, we did not get it. The tofu was so tough we couldn't eat it. The entire dinner was horrible.

UPDATE 3:
Fried Meat Wontons, baby!

UPDATE 2:
I JUST tried their peanut chicken for the first time. I definitely recommend it.

UPDATE 1:
I really like their fried rice more than most spots around.

ORIGINAL POST:
I've only been twice so far, and I'm a fan of a local competing restaurant, but this place is doing right by me so far. I'm pleased.

I had a delivery order, the food was gross. No flavor, the egg rolls were burnt and tasted like the oil was weeks old. Never again
