Coming from northern California, there is def better filipino food. The food besides the meet an lumpia is cold. The price is high, and lacks the true essence of a good filipino meal. It tasted like something a college might serve to celebrate filipinos on campus. The atmosphere is nice but I won’t be back sadly!

I tried Filipino food for the first time at Neri's, and it tasted surprisingly delicious and familiar—something everyone would enjoy. The lechon kawali, crispy fried pork belly served over rice, had a perfectly crispy texture on the outside. The chicken barbecue was also universally appealing.

They don't seem to use a lot of sauce in their dishes, so I recommend getting garlic rice to enhance the flavor.

This review is based off of an Uber eats delivery. This is solid Filipino food. I’m pretty sure if I ate these items at the location and straight from the kitchen, it would have been better.

I ordered their Kare Kare, fresh lumpia, sisig with garlic rice and their pancit palabok. Their Kare Kare was above average and the bagoong was on point. There was lots of tender meat pieces along with juicy beef chunks. Overall a solid dish. The sisig with garlic rice was pretty good also and when mixed with the garlic rice it’s an excellent combination. The fresh lumpia was also good but I misordered but it was still descent. The pancit palabok was very flavorful and overall the food was great.

I’d definitely order from here again and probably try their food at the restaurant for the full dining experience.

I love Filipino food, so I had high hopes when I stopped by Neri's Casual Filipino Restaurant in L.A. Unfortunately, my visit ended in disappointment, prompting me to share my experience.

Upon entering, I ordered Bistick Tagalog and Pancit Canton. The Bistick Tagalog turned out to be a letdown—boiled beef in an overly salty broth with some cooked onions. To add to my disappointment, the rice portion was only half a cup. After eating half of the Bistick, I called the person behind the counter and asked, "Is this cooked by a Filipino chef?" Initially hesitant, he eventually admitted, "No." I then asked if they had any Filipino chefs, and he replied, "Yeah, we have one chef."

I requested to speak with the Filipino chef. Meanwhile, the counter person offered me a refund if I didn't like the food. I told him to hold off until I spoke to the chef. During this time, I tried the Pancit Canton, which was also disappointing and clearly not cooked by a Filipino chef.

When the Filipino chef arrived, he confirmed that the food was indeed cooked by other chefs who were not Filipino. He was surprised at how I could tell. I explained my background with Filipino cuisine and my love for cooking it. He offered to replace my order, so I requested Laing with rice, insisting it be cooked by the Filipino chef.

When the Laing arrived, it was a relief—it finally felt like I was tasting authentic Filipino food. This dish made me happy and somewhat salvaged my experience at Neri's.

To be fair, the place is very clean, and the staff is friendly. However, the owners need to ensure that the food is consistently authentic. If you decide to eat there, make sure to request the Filipino chef to cook your food.

Neri’s Casual Filipino Dining restaurant one of our favorite places to go have lunch after our appointment in the Philippines council.

The barbecue chicken and beef bulaldo soup were absolutely delicious. Service was great, restaurant and restroom were clean and in good condition.

Went here to satisfy my Filipino food cravings! Workers were nice. The food was good, but nothing too special.

We ordered the Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit Canton, and Kare Kare. My favorite would have been the Kare Kare and Halo Halo. The lumpia was small (?) and much of it was wrapper, with little filling. The panic was good, but a little salty for my liking. Now, the Halo Halo was so delicious. Perfectly sweet and refreshing.

Came to this place for the first time. Very cute modern restaurant. I ordered the Sisig with a fried egg on top. The plate was delicious. Very flavorful. Very decent portions and you can't beat the price. The only thing I would add to this meal is to have a bit more of the crispy skin of the pork belly to the Sisig. Otherwise this place is excellent. I'll definitely return.
