We rented the entire guesthouse for three days over New Year's. Four couples and three dogs had a wonderful, relaxing time at the Navarro Mill Guesthouse. The house is spacious, with huge windows and a lovely wood-burning fireplace where we made s'mores, sipped hot chocolate and drank plenty of wine. At night, we could see the Milky Way from the front porch before heading off to our cosy, clean rooms, which looked exactly like the photos. We also made good use of the fully-stocked kitchen and the cast-iron pots and pans were perfect for hopping john and pancakes on New Year's day. ||||The Navarro General Store is under a ten-minute walk from the house if you take the paved road, and a two minute walk if you're willing to climb up from the creek and can outrun the neighbor's small and disconcertingly-fast dog. It has a deli and a small local wine selection, and is stocked with basic groceries and toiletries. There's also a short path to nowhere that runs by the creek where you can see a super cool rusted-out car wreck from the 1930 or 1940s. We visited the Anderson Valley Brewing Company, a twenty-minute or so drive away, where we sampled some beer, fed the goats and played frisbee golf. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the redwoods (apparently there's a pygmy forest nearby!) and the many vineyards in the area. ||||Although we did not get to meet Dennis and Lesley, they were very responsive by email and phone and were accommodating of our dogs and check-in/out times. They do have a cat (Boots, I believe), who was not around while we were around, but whose lingering presence those of us with cat allergies could feel - the house was spotless but cat hairs are invisible and persistent, so just be forewarned if you're allergic.||||I'd love to go back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Navarro Mill Guesthouse. The house itself is very cute and cozy, our room (Southwestern) was very comfortable, and the owners (who live in the house) are very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread, fruit and jams. There's one communal table at breakfast, which could potentially be bothersome for some since you have to sit at one table with people you don't know, but it worked out very well for us since the people who stayed there that weekend were all pleasant and nice to talk to. We'd definitely stay there again and recommend it very highly.

What a lovely spot...we so enjoyed our stay there....and Dennis and his wife are wonderful hosts...We had been out all day and it was raining so we just grabbed some cheese and crackers for our dinner which we enjoyed in the well-appointed living room. Dennis brought us a delicious tray of fish and veggies....they just shared their dinner with us! Now don't expect that as I am sure it is not usual...we were there during the slower winter season....but good to know the inn keepers are so kind!
