This was our second time staying here and it was a wonderful experience both times! It is such a nice place to relax and get away from Tucson for a while. The cabins are very clean and comfortable, with a nice sized kitchen and bathroom. The mattress is a little hard for our taste, but everything else is perfect! We also really appreciate their military discount!

Awesome experience, Summerhaven is such a unique place to stay the night and explore. The cabin was really easy to check in to and everything in town is close walking distance. Great customer service as well, lost my phone the day before and the service line had a response to my message within minutes. Again, can’t overstate how a fun experience it was to stay up in this little mountain town in our own cabin!

Couldn’t wait for my Mt. Lemmon Hotel getaway and it far exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were so cute and unique in a part of the state I’ve never visited in 30 years of living here. The rooms were clean and well stocked, the check in process was so easy, the room was warm, had wifi, and our personal favorite part was walking to the coffee shop, general store, cookie cabin, and nearby trails. An amazing destination for a weekend getaway!

We loved loved loved it! Everything was cute, clean and very helpful. The fireplace heater was super helpful at night with both light and heat. It has options for no light and whatnot but we liked the nightlight.

The town was also adorable and super fun to walk/ hike.

Overall fantastic experience.

The hotel has a lot going for it. The price is right. The hotel is actually separate cabins so there is a lot of privacy. The location is great since you are in a small town up at much cooler elevations. The cabin itself has a full kitchen, nice bathroom with very nice shower. The TV is cable linked so you have lots of channels. Beds are comfortable. The decor is pleasant with knotty pine walls and wood floor.||However for us, it didn't work well. Most of the rooms are rented out, and we ended up in Cabin 11. It is well designed for a large family easily accommodating 5 people with one double bed (we prefer a king), and an odd second bed which is a double bed with a bunk over it. Since the cabin isn't that large, it leaves no room for things I consider essential. There is no couch, no comfortable chairs, no luggage rack and the chairs are at the eating table are so hard as to be absolutely miserable if you sit there for more than 20 minutes. Unfortunately with the long evening, we were stuck in the room for about 4 hours with no where to sit or to watch the nice TV. ||This may be a function of the Cabin 11, and others may be much better, but I would definitely not recommend Cabin 11 unless you have 3 to 4 small children and won't be in the room much.

We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. The cabins are stocked well, clean, and in a convenient location. The owners are friendly and responsive. It’s a great place to stay to get a break from the Tucson heat. Pet friendly cabins are a plus. This most recent visit we stayed at the larger Family Bear cabin which is great for a family. We will be back frequently.

Just left Mount Lemmon Hotel. Mostly a great stay but a few things brought it down a notch. The cabin itself was in very good shape and there's a full kitchen if you want to cook. Wifi and cable work great. I stayed in cabin 10, which I would stay in again. I recommend cabins 10-15 because they are just a little higher from street level than the rest. I came off peak so I'm sure it's a zoo during the summer.

Parking here is great for cabins 1-9, since the lot is in back of these cabins. So if you bring items, such as a cooler and luggage, it's a bit of a hike to the other cabins.

Another downside is that the hotel charges $40 for cleaning and amenities, which I don't mind, but then, make sure they are good. For example, the hotel says that they provide shampoo and conditioner. They are single-use size, which isn't great if you've got two people staying. Also, the conditioner was green. I'm not using green conditioner. And why not provide lotion, too? That's what hotels do.

Lastly, the kitchen pots and pans could use an update. Great size for one person, but definitely not for a couple.

One thing that I've seen in other reviews is criticism of the bed. The mattress is very solid. Surprisingly, I liked it a lot, but I can see why some wouldn't. If I were the owners, I might consider an upgrade, but I'm sure margins are thin when in hospitality.

I came for peace and rest, and that's what I got. If I decided to return to Summerhaven, I would definitely consider returning to Mt. Lemmon Hotel (even though it's cabins, not a hotel).

And this is about the town and not the hotel, but there are few options for food. The grocery store is expensive and only Beyond Bread is open seven days a week. The other two restaurants are closed M/T or T/W, not great if one stays M-W. There's a cookie shop that sells pizza. I bought a couple of slices and they quickly went in the trash.

Highly recommend staying here. The tiny homes are awesome & beat hotel rooms hands down across the board, especially value for $. You also have dedicated parking behind homes in a separate non public parking lot. The location can't be beat, the comfort / amenities inside each tiny home with full kitchen, bathroom, entertainment area & your own porch. The owners / management were very nice, helpful & responsive to text. Thanks again we will be staying here every time we come up going forward..πŸ˜πŸ‘
