Food was good. We had the sampler platter, which is great for first timers, a little bit of everything. I had the Durban curry and my wife had steak sandwich. Peri peri sauce was tasty. The atmosphere on the balcony was great. Probably ideal in warmer weather, but manageable with the heaters in March (~55 degrees F). Definitely worth a date night.

Was treated to a nice birthday dinner here. A nice establishment with an African theme. The food was delicious, especially the appetizer sampler platter!👌🏾 14oz ny strip steak was nice and the wine selection decent. Overall, a nice place to check out in Laguna Beach.

This place has great views from the roof top!
Our food and drinks were good, we dodged not order much, just a few things to snack on to watch the sunset. However, our service could have been a lot better. We watched the bartender prepare our drinks after they sat at the bar for at least 5 minutes.
Our food came out fast and incorrect but, it was a simple fix.

Booked a dinner reservation in advance (Thank God we did! Still pretty packed on this rainy evening).

Listed as one of the participating restaurant on the 'Orange County Restaurant Week' website. Fusion restaurant (African, Halal, seafood, and steakhouse). Atmosphere felt like an upscale version of 'Rain Forest' Cafe restaurant minus the gift shop. Plenty of dining areas (both indoors & outdoors) including a rooftop bar along with live music (not this evening due to the rain).

We ordered from their regular menu vs. OC Restaurant Week menu specials.

- Seafood Ceviche appetizer (tasted a lil bland - think it either needs more fresh lime juice and/or have the ceviche marinade longer to enhance the flavor)

- Mozambique burger with sweet potato fries: Big portion with thick cut bacon, heavy and slightly bland

- Durban Curry: Good but kind of fell short on the curry sauce. Side dish of Sambals were good but the banana slices (thought it was plantains) threw the texture off for me

- Cape Malay Curry: Good amount of seafood but fell short on the curry sauce as well

Staff were very welcoming and attentive upon our arrival to departure.

Will definitely come back during daytime & check out their other dishes & live music 😊

This is an upscale scale located across laguna 🏖️ 🏝️. I chose to dine in at rooftop although, it also has indoor dining. I liked the view although it was little chilly they do have heater around almost every table and for those who are looking for HALAL. Food . They have separate menu. I liked the kabab and the soup but not the salmon it was too dry but hell yes I enjoyed my dinner. Kind of sad they closed down their other sister company named Laguna Fish. It was my favourite dining place on my last visit. Food from that restaurant was super delicious. It has been replaced by some Mexican store which I didn’t like and walked out.. Anyhow, Mozambique should be tried once if you are in the area

The steak was just OK, but not worth the price. The atmosphere is very cool with rooftop dining overlooking the ocean.

A sister restaurant from the same owners of Rumari, Mozambique is delightfully delicious, with a lovely view for rooftop dining. Recently remodeled, the restaurant offers live music, ample parking and plenty of seating, although things fill up fast during summer evenings and weekends alike. The service is wonderful, the cocktails inviting and the food is unique in presentation and offerings. A few of the dishes were especially enjoyed since they were reminiscent of some food from Africa. Reservations are highly recommended for peak hours.
