Our jeep group has been having our annual Couples Weekend here for years and look forward to many many more. From the homey atmosphere to the roaring fires in the oversize fireplace to the wonderful breakfasts it doesn't get more perfect. As a plus Kris and Dave are the best hosts, have great stories and feel just like family. It's just like settling in for the night in your own home. Thanks for helping us make memories from Nora & Larry.

This 100 year old inn lovingly restored to reflect its era but equipped with the comforts of the 21st century is a treasure! I'm sure I'll have to return at least a few more times to take in all the details of the period furniture and decor. Hosts Kris and David were so welcoming and accommodating. We are still raving about the sumptuous 3 course breakfasts that honestly kept us satisfied all day. Recommendations for local sites to take in were spot on! Kris and David provide a fridge and microwave for guest use, as well as an assortment of teas and coffee. Kris bakes THE BEST PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES for guests to munch daily. Views from the porch are spectacular. Be sure to take in the view of Mt Shasta at sunset in all its pink glory. We spent evenings in front of the fire in the beautiful living room before retiring to our elegantly outfitted room. The down comforters and luxurious sheets made us want to stay in bed, but the promise of another delicious breakfast lovingly prepared by Kris and served by David had us jumping out of bed.

Dave and Kris have created the most amazing place to stay. They embrace you as family the minute you walk in the door. The rooms are comfortable. We stayed in the downstairs room in the main house. It had a huge bathroom which is handicap accessible which was wonderful because I had recent knee surgery. Towels actually wrap around your body - and I’m not skinny- and they include large cozy bathrobes. This room is behind the fireplace so if you run cold the heat from the bricks is lovely. Limited mobility meant I couldn’t see some of the other rooms but the rest of our party were all equally pleased with the accommodations. The living room is large and comfortable with multiple couches, recliners, and chairs to accommodate a full house. The dining/rec room is huge. Ping pong table, pool table, lots of games and even a library. There is a kitchenette area with a microwave and coffee/tea station. Breakfast each day was delicious including items such as Italian baked eggs, biscuits and gravy, wonderful pastries and attention to details. This was our first time here but our friends have been coming for 8 years and always rave about it. We understand why now. Dave and Kris- thank you for the wonderful getaway. We will be back and will now also rave about you to everyone we know!

Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast has put up with our obnoxious 4x4 club for 8 consecutive years.

The owners are amazing, the food has always been fantastic, and the rooms are better than any hotel I have ever stayed CA.

Don't let bad reviews from some stuck-up snobs who have only stayed here one time keep you from experiencing this treasure. Is it the Ritz-Carlton? Nope! David, greeted me this year with "Welcome Home". I do feel at home here.
There is a reason why 9 to 11 couples from our club come back year after year. Come see for yourself. Unless you are a snob, then Ritz-Carlton is better suited for you.

Kris and David, thank you for putting up with us over the years; see you next year.

For the past 8 years we have rented out the entire carriage house for our two families of 8 people. Spacious, comfortable, updated bathrooms, full kitchen and full access to everything at the main house! Kris and David are the absolute best hosts. The daily breakfast is always delicious, the fire place in the living room is my absolute favorite place to hang out and visit with family.

We spent a lovely weekend here and look forward to coming back! The location is gorgeous, and we enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch every morning with full view of the mountain and ending each day by the fireplace. What will stay with us long after our trip is the kindness of Kris & David, who warmly accommodated some emergencies in our trip planning and were eager to share hiking tips, stories from their lives, some excellent homemade baked goods, and even just a good laugh. It felt good to be welcomed to Mt Shasta by hosts who clearly have a love for people.

This is my second stay with Kris and David at The Ranch. I flew solo last year, but went with a girlfriend this time. I was a little reluctant to over-hype this place to her because you can’t always duplicate an exceptional experience. My stay last year was so magical that I figured it would be a tough act to follow. It was even better this time!!! My friend has not stopped raving about our rooms, food, warm cookies and wine on arrival, lively chats with Kris and David by the big stone fireplace and comfy rooms. And a full breakfast the next morning complete with yogurt parfait, Italian egg thingies, homemade blackberry cobbler, bottomless cups of coffee. Not a do-it-yourself waffle maker in sight! Big cuddly blankets by the front door so we wouldn’t freeze outside. This is a true bed and breakfast in every sense of the word. And the view of Mt. Shasta from the front porch was a huge BONUS. I can’t wait to visit again next year. Thanks Kris & David!! 🥰
