We enjoy this campground due to its private camping feel. In addition to back in sites there are pull through. Our 5th wheel is 35' and we had plenty of room. There is a walking trail down to the Kenai River.

Sites are level with adequate room for 35' 5th wheel. There are pull through and back in sites with plenty of green space to give you a private feel. There is a trail system that gets you to the river.

Nice facility with lots of parking ($5). A lot of river bank space with a lot of boardwalks to fish from. Most of the water moves too slow for favorable sockeye fishing but you can be successful. Be prepared for a good walk from the vehicle to the river. The state uses these grounds for staging equipment and has a lot going on so theres always state employees roaming the grounds, which can be good and bad.

Wow! I loved it!! I stayed for a few days and I'm so glad I did. For only $15 a night, the sweetest tasting fresh water available, sizable campsites, clean restrooms, even though they are pit toilets, and easily accessible hiking trails. The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has their Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation area office onsite, so Morgan's Landing is always well kept and monitored.

Beautiful campground. Level sites. Enough privacy. Nice path to the river. The cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a park! Much appreciated.

Great spot with potable water and close to Soldotna. A free dump is available 8 miles down I-1 at Big John's Chevron.

This campground is just a few miles off the main road, but the diversion is well worth it. As with all Alaska state rec areas that I have visited, it was clean, well laid out, and beautifully situated. The ready access to the Kenai River was an unexpected bonus, and would make it ideal for those fishing their way through the state (although I would bet that it is probably a busy place when the salmon are really running). Note that there is no dump station or hookup for RVs.

The trails get unkempt towards the end and you have to know the place pretty well in order to fish correctly. I assume once you get the hang of it down, it's probably a pretty nice spot. The people who knew what they were doing seemed to be getting on well. Besides that it's beautiful if your going there just to camp or look around.
